Sony hate thread

That's the starting price. It goes up if you don't want to be stuck with the base 256gb model, to the tune of $3700 for 512gb and $3900 for 1tb. And of course there's no way to upgrade your storage after purchase, lol.
I kinda understand why you'd buy this. People waited for VR technology to get better so a better alternative to the Oculus would come along. A better alternative never came along. Likewise, I don't think the Apple GoyVision vision will ever improve.

My main concern is how a pozzed modern malicious technocrat corporation will abuse this. Twenty years ago this would just be a cool gadget you use to watch movies on the bus. But today this is literally a surveillance device that monitors what you're looking at and collects biometric data. Apple can see your entire body with it, but thankfully the average Apple connoisseur is too large for this to work.

You can understand why people would spend a fortune on this because the whole VR market is a dead end? I don't see your reasoning.

They'll just have to listen to the Audio Drama CDs they released continuing the story... which took a nosedive.
Or just listen to said audio drama on YouTube while studying. Classic audio dramas are no different from listening to a podcast

Today is the 2nd Anniversary of GT7 coming out. As I expected, well known game defender, and likely Sony employee "GreenyMyMan" has made his usual style of post. With this he has created a chart showing JUST HOW MUCH fantastic content has been added to GT7 over the course of 2 years.

Shall we take a look?

In total the game has received.....4 track locations. That's it. In 2 years.

35ish cars per year....TC2/TCM on average got/get around 20 cars per update. TCM's next update has nearly 40. TC2's end of life update, out Wednesday, has 6 cars - more than any GT7 update besides Spec II.

The game right now has 52 menu books total? Iirc. The base game, however, had 39. In the first week of launch, a build of GT7 was shown on live TV that had 48 menu books. We would not recieve that build until spring of 2023.

The "extra" menus are laughable to count as content. These are literally "buy 3 cars, read words, recieve shit prize". Some of these require you to spend millions on cars in order to win a ticket to get a race muffler.

The same can be said for scapes. These are literally backgrounds for photo mode.

And finally music rally....the mode that exists to be played when the internet is down....it's not even worth mentioning.

Keep in mind this is all as day one glitches, which I'll also post below, still exist in game and are prevalent

Keep in mind this was posted as a GOOD THING. As some sort of "look how good GT's support is". As per usual, it has the "idk why people whine about free stuff" comments.

Comparing this to literally any other racing game makes it fall apart. Comparing it to PREVIOUS GT GAMES makes it fall apart. But of course, the Sony fanboys don't care.

VR has no real future in video games and it was a foolish move to release a 2nd PSVR.

Edit: And I know someone is going to post an autistic disagreement but come on
  1. no parent wants their child wearing a display strapped to their face
  2. 2/3 of adults wear glasses making wearing ski goggles on top a pain
  3. you have to wall yourself off from society
  4. 98% of VR games are fucking Wii tech demos in virtual reality
  5. they could give them away with a free blowjob and nobody would buy the games for it
This is going to miff my Autism:

1. I agree with this sentiment
2. I also agree with this sentiment
3. We already do this though, you're on Kiwi Farms as an example
4. I disagree, I can name a lot of awesome games for VR
5. I can agree with this, it doesn't help that the only companies that are pushing for this are known for egregious violations of privacy

If you want your hopes immediately dashed, just remember that the following is entirely possible:
  • SSD required
  • Unnecessarily enormous install size
  • Denuvo
  • Epic Store exclusive
  • DLC for stuff that was already in the original game
  • Rewritten dialog
  • In-game advertisements and pride flags
  • FPS lock
  • Incompatible with Linux for no reason
  • No support for ultrawide monitors
  • Countless other assorted performance issues
