i literally never watch phil at all, no restreams, no clip channels and definitely no raw phil. i used to watch TIHYDP back in the day before all the good creators quit. my only exposure to phil now is whatever gets posted in this thread

To be fair his Elden Ring stumblethrough was such a fucking disaster that 12 hours does make sense... for the whole TIHYDP, not just part 1 of it. At that point you might as well just reupload his videos.

Even one 12 hour video is insane. If the playthrough was so fucking bad that it is “understandable” to have a 12 hour recap, then edit that 12 hours into a 1 hour best clips, and BOOM people will actually watch your content.

But I guess Outsyder is similar to DSP in that it’s easier to push a lazy, trash product out and be satisfied with mediocrity.

If he was smart, he would've put the wig at 50 bucks, so it encourages random people to donate early, then the normal paypigs will dump their usual penance. Instead it was a 55 dollar stream where 25 bucks with from PlanetJeff who always donates.

Phil has really been impressing us with his business acumen lately.

hes stuck 10 years in the past where influencers didn't get games weeks before launch and already had videos ready to go on launch, back on those days people didn't stream for 8+ hours on day 1. this shit is hilarious. 12 straight up begs while shaking the wig in front of the camera, he even dropped it from $150 to $100, and last i checked hes at $55, wonder if we'll get overtime or if he'll clock out at 3.

It’s not even that, there are plenty of people who are going to tune in day one to watch a streamer they like play a game they like or are interested in

His problem is the obvious fact he’s not an entertaining streamer, and he expects an insane amount of money just for showing up and being awful.

Straight up if you can’t survive off of your audiences subs, then you’re trying to live beyond your means. Most good streamers either have a huge viewer base where any tips are just a nice little bonus and not a requirement to pay their bills, or they are smaller and either live within their means or do it as supplementary income

I watch a decent amount of streamer vods of varying levels of audience sizes and I’ve never heard anyone asking for tips once, the only place I see this is with Dave and his lolcow brothers who don’t have a lot of actual fans but want to make money like they do

Wtf he played this as a day steam and now on the night stream he’s still only in Kalm? I played for a few hours and am at least exploring in the first big area, how the fuck did a full time streamer only make it out of chapter 1….

This queens blood game is really exposing how much of an ape he is like god damn, I’m not an expert at it, but what seems like a pretty effective strategy is to try and expand outward as fast as you can, since it will effectively not allow your opponent to play cards, instead this ape keeps playing cards into the first row, and the computer keeps simply expanding outward faster and cutting off his means of playing cards
