it's literally just an informational choice. i assume they wouldn't be complaining if people were going out of their way to buy sweet baby games because they made them good, but in this case they turn games to shit and they KNOW it
It's the same veing as libs of tik tok, prior to everyone chimping about it all libs of tik tok did was repost content that was made by leftist accounts.
Its the equivalent of pointing at something and saying "huh, what do you think of that?"
The curator is not posting hateful comments or spamming walls of niggers written over and over, he's just giving a simple warning "Sweet Baby was involved in the making of this video game, i do not recommend".
They could had won by just ignoring it but they decided to chimp out so aggresively at what's basically nothing that they have granted it legitimate power trough visibility, all they had to do was to look away from the screen but they couldn't ignore their own egos and now they are paying the price, they have drawn the eyes of scrutiny and will now be torn to pieces for every mistake they've made.
Its gonna be fun!

How did a literal no name company with only fifteen employees just start landing exclusive and extremely lucrative contracts with some of the biggest companies in the world out of nowhere?

Shit glows brighter than the sun.
I would guess it's because these investment groups like Blackrock have strict ESG scores that must be met to get investments. Sweet Baby was a literal no name, but they happen to fill this autistic niche market where hiring them is an easy way to meet ESG requirements and secure an investment.

Basically, Sweet Baby only has some relevance because they can help companies qualify for investments.

Edit: @Breadbassket's point about nepotism and connections is one I would also say is highly plausible.

Excerpt from a 2021 article about Sweet Baby.
Kim Belair co-founded Sweet Baby Inc. to feel safer in the video game industry and continue working in it. Three years ago, she and her co-founders were working at Ubisoft, the developer of Far Cry and Assassin’s Creed, when Belair realized she’d have to try something else if she wanted to move up.

“I was just starting to see that there weren’t a lot of ways forward, especially for women, especially for marginalized identities,” Belair said. “And Sweet Baby started simply as a way for myself and two of my colleagues to kind of work in the industry together.”

For years, the video game industry has been grappling with issues of toxic behavior, sexism and institutionalized racism, echoing conversations in other industries. As the latest high-profile example, the Securities and Exchange Commission launched an investigation into Activision Blizzard, the company behind the Call of Duty franchise.

At Sweet Baby — which designs narratives for a variety of games, including the recently released Sable — Belair hopes to address some of the larger problems in the game industry and promote the idea that it can provide a safe working environment. “I think that part of our job is just kind of showing, ‘Gee, these structures need to change,'” Belair said in an interview with “Marketplace” host Kai Ryssdal.

I love how they are accusing the steam group of harassement even tho they havent done anything but point out the games they have been involved in it, and yet, in the same breath, they demand their allies report the group and its creators.

Because its not targeted harassement when they do it.

These same people would probably do something like make a curator page pointing out "transphobic" games like Hogwarts Legacy and if called out on it, they would argue it's different from the Sweet Baby curator page.
