The Storm hair style stuff is always a reminder that not everyone who claims to be a 'fan' actually read the source material. X-Men has had a very wild history both visually and in terms of story elements. I think it was Heels vs Babyface who lost it over Gomez Addams in the Netflix Wednesday show, when if you looked at the original strip, he looked in keeping with it.

From what I recall from people talking about it last year. Somehow they brought Franks wife back. She told him that she was planning to divorce him prior to being killed and that she doesn't approve of his methods. So she sold his safe houses and weapons and is going to keep half his stuff and donate his half to charity. Frank then I think goes to another planet to live a boring life.

I think this was also after he became a ninja or something (I want to say he joined the Hand) and stopped using guns for a bit. If I have time to kill later, I'll try to look into it better to refresh my memory. But the guy doing the comic at the time (and the guy that created the character) hated that the symbol became popular with police and military. Made worse because this was during and after 2020 (BLM crap). So, they did everything possible to neuter/ruin Punisher.

The inane part is that Marvel allowed it.

Since then, I've heard they have managed to even fuck up Punisher. Like how does one even do that? It's an absurdly simple character.

Don't underestimate these megacorps desire to rely on the the old bait-and-switch to sucker people in with nostalgia. Based on everything we've seen over the last decade or so, I'm not holding out hope from anything under the Disney umbrella.

X-Men '97 is based off the nostalgia bait comic X-Men '92 (itself a response to the somewhat successful DC outing of Batman '66, a Batman based on the campy 1966 TV show).
X-Men 92 fucking sucks not because it's woke, (although its writer Chris Sims is a refugee SJW comic blogger from the '00s who managed to dicksuck his way to a throwaway D-list Marvel meme comic), but because it's a badly made insincere mockery of something far superior to it: 1992 X-Men. Chris Sims is no Chris Claremont, and the third worlder banging out rushed art for peanuts is no prime Jim Lee. They try to ironically play up various cliches synonymous with 90s writing, which works with Batman '66 because it always owned being camp, but it doesn't work with X-Men '92 because both it and modern day X-Men are in every way inferior to the iconic, to this day definitive era of X-Men that was the 1992 run. It just comes off as just unironic shit writing to go with the shit art to go with non-stop reminders about the far better original. But I guess it's just easier to yell 'MOHAWK = WOKE'.

Holy FUCK I am so tempted... and I guarantee there are people who have DMs that are WAY spicier than mine. EVS has screwed SO many people, but I think everyone will be amazed by how many talented creators have been squashed by King #CANCELPIG Malin. Those boys do NOT like people who make better books than they do and deliver them in a timely fashion.

They didn't fuck up the Punisher, they punished the people who like the Punisher by changing the logo. They also put Frank Castle through the ringer before replacing him with a Shield agent and basically giving him the same origin story. All because the military, police and some Republicans like to wear the original skull logo on their hats and shirts
