This whole situation is disturbing as fuck. Like some sort of modern Lovecraftian horror, or a classic deal-with-the-devil. Imagine you had a kid who was happily socializing with his friends online playing a game he liked, and one day your kid says he’s making some serious money off of it. There’s nothing you can do because your son THINKS he’s happy because he’s receiving the most (shallow, superficial) support he’s ever received in his life up to now, but all that support will slowly fall away as the drugs and superficial medical procedures slowly begin to make him miserable and in pain. Then finally at the end of the road when all of the procedures are done, and he’s left ultimately unsatisfied and with a laundry list of health complications, he has too likely of a chance to end his own life. And if you ever spoke up about your discomfort at any point of this process, you might not even know your son was dead right away because he was groomed into cutting you off when you first hinted at dissenting.

The part that I have never understood despite living through the eras of acceptance both in social media, regular media, etc, is where all this congratulatory nature comes from. When you hear "Congratulations" it's usually, if not SUPPOSED to be because you accomplished a challenging feat that can be commendable. But when people started getting "congratulated" for 'coming out' or worse, the shit that Finn is doing, I just don't fucking get it.

More generally, it seems everybody's brains have been fried by the notion of "identifying" as things and can't see the obvious. If a man puts on makeup and dresses for sexual purposes, he's a sex pervert. It doesn't matter if he says he's a "TV", "CD", "straight trans woman", "trans lesbian", "femboy" or any other term, the underlying situation doesn't change.
