One person was shot during a gunfight with police outside of Six Flags Over Georgia, just after an “unruly” crowd of people sparked a massive brawl during the park’s opening day on Saturday.

Cobb County Police responded to the amusement park just outside of Atlanta around 6 p.m. — two hours before the park closed — to help deal with a crowd fighting and causing problems inside the gates.

“A sizeable unruly crowd” of approximately 500 to 600 guests were “running through the park and fighting,” the Cobb County Police said in a statement to WSB-TV.

Social media footage obtained by Fox 5 Atlanta captured nearly a dozen people kicking and punching a person on the ground before several ran away, leaving the beaten-up individual lying motionless.

An unknown number of suspects fired shots at police as security pushed the crowd out of the park.

The officers reportedly fired back, striking one person.

The individual, whose condition is not known, was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in Downtown Atlanta, approximately 11 miles east of the shooting.

The park confirmed the shooting but said it did not occur on Six Flags property.

“There was police activity involving gunshots; we want to confirm there was no shooting at our property or parking lot,” the statement obtained by the outlet read. “This took place on South Service Road that is not owned or operated by Six Flags.”

“However, we join our community and the Atlanta region in our commitment to safety and security. We won’t put up with that type of activity here.”

The park blasted the “underaged youth” behavior and how it disrupts community events.

“It is incredibly disappointing that our community is disrupted at public events throughout the region by groups of underaged youth. Just like other venues in the area, we are committed to keeping this type of trouble outside our park and off our property.”

“Our goal is to provide safe, fun entertainment. We employ state of the art security systems and metal detection, maintain a robust and vigilant Public Safety Department, and have strong support from Cobb County Police who are present both inside and outside the park. Every guest is expected to follow our strict code of conduct and anyone unwilling to follow that code of conduct is unwelcome.

Six Flags Over Georgia opened its doors for the 57th season on Saturday at 11 a.m.

A parkgoer who was in line for the opening disputed part of the park’s claim of security, saying they entered the park without being searched.

“My bag wasn’t even checked, we were simply told to go through to the entrance,” Liam Thompson told FOX 5 Atlanta.

It was not immediately clear if any arrests were made in connection to the shooting or the large crowds inside the park.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has taken over the investigation of the shooting.

If its the parks fault then shut down the park, i am sure that will make the rowdies vanish
On the one hand I feel bad for the employees that have to plan mitigations for the inevitable arrival and constant threat of Cultural Enrichment, while not being able to explicitly stop it, or even openly discuss it.

On the other hand, every one of these companies is pandering to the low-impulse-control audience to make more money, and has entire divisions of HR commissars playing along with the "diversity as our greatest strength" bs and contributing to political movements that make society's worst behaving members emboldened and untouchable.

So a bunch of executives sitting around trying to solve a problem they aren't even allowed to acknowledge or accurately describe is absolutely befitting.

Here is footage of the attack.

The little twirling hop this kid does while they’re all dispersing kills me. He’s just so amped up :story:

Hey journos, I can edit your work for accuracy.

This is such nigger behavior I can't even understand it.
Sometimes I wonder if they're enjoying themselves when they're doing things like this. They seem angry but maybe they're actually excited and happy because otherwise why do it? I guarantee more than half of those niggers had no idea why the guy was being beaten in the first place. So they just jump in for the.... JOY?

Monkey see, monkey do.

Looked up the cost of a season pass in one city and it's like $65. Which seems like the cause of a lot of black parents trying to use the place as a daycare for their teenagers.

Need to do something more to price them out of turning the place into the ghetto. Airbnbs did the same thing thanks to all the shootings and houses getting wrecked.

If I'm going to get my head stamped on, I prefer my assailants to show off their Nike trainers whilst they're at it.

I'm dating myself, but I remember when you could go to an amusement park without going through a metal detector or being searched. The idea of being searched and metal-detected everywhere you go was shocking and offensive, something that only happened at select locations like airports because of the unique threat posed by skyjackers, or schools like Marion Barry High.

So they just jump in for the.... JOY?
I think Pratchett was the one who said the average intellect of a mob was the lowest IQ in the mob divided by the number of people involved.
While no doubt others have said it better or done more clear studies on the thing that's an apt summary of it. People get caught up in the moment becoming more sheep-like as they follow the tide as others start things and then suddenly they are looking down at their blood soaked shoes and going, "oh shit, this was an error."
Similar thing with the Jan 6th stuff, most of those who went there had no plans to enter the capital but the crowd started that way and suddenly they're inside and faintly confused.

That is exactly what happened and I believe the CEO of Six Flags flat out said they had to stop the practice cause (black) people were just dumping off teenagers every day.

Last week, the amusement park reported quarterly results that fell short of Wall Street's estimates and said attendance fell sharply from a year earlier.

During that earnings call, CEO and President Selim A. Bassoul said the parks have become "a cheap daycare center for teenagers during breaks and the summers."

Bassoul later addressed the company's customers and the demographics when it comes to those who visit its parks, saying "our objective is not to become a park that's not affordable to everyone." He said the company wants to target "middle income" and those who earn "what I call the average income of the U.S."

I can't find the twitter thread but it was about a book on Urban Amusement Parks from the 1950's and every single one basically ending with "And then de-segregation happened, fights broke out, and the park shutdown. "

The news station also muted the video lmao
Just add a bunch of monkey noises, there's no functional differences.
Imagine building an amusement park in Atlanta. Who thought that was going to be a good idea?
When I was a kid, I heard an ad on the radio for this very park and asked my mother if we could go sometime. She said definitely not because it was a dirty park filled with bad people.
