Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

USB-C male to 3.5m Jack female connector. Tried bluetooth earphones, fucking threw them away on the same day because they kept cutting audio and couldn't keep a connection despite the phone resting in my breast pocket (they'd just disconnect completely if I placed it in my front trousers pocket). Tried regular wired earphones, they kept fucking muting my Spotify because of the volume control bar on the earphones themselves. Total Bluetooth Death.

Got a different motherboard. 8 sata slots, 3 m.2 slots, two of which are 4x4, which I have. Also has wifi, which simplifies things a lot. It should be able to support a bigger graphics card than my micro atx could, which I'm excited for.

I just got myself a Dock for my laptop, a Dell HD222q it's a Dell dock but it works with Mac an charges my phone at the same time.

It's not that much but I fucking hate cables and I am using a desk at the moment where everything is on display so I want to tidy it up as best I can an this seems like the best option, I'm also replacing my Mac later this year so I am hoping to furture proof myself some what.

In other Autisim purchasing I might be buying one of the old Massey Ferguson tractors soon not sure on the model as I have a choice of some really nice ones from one of my neighbours I just need something with forks I won't be pulling anything with it other than a trailer, or atleast not regularly so it's going to run more as a fork lift than anything else but damn it I own a farm I should have a tractor... and if the mrs ask's that's my story an I am sticking to it.

You need to get yourself one of these:

If anyone is qualified to run this beastie, it's you.

I bought a slide rule to try and learn to use one. It's a totally different paradigm from digital calculators that we're all used to. Slide rules are totally analog and based on powers of ten, and you kind of have to have a rough estimate of what your answer should be to get the right answer from this device.
This is a genuinely autistic purchase. Fun fact: most of the math to get to the Moon was done on slide rules. Buzz Aldrin himself used a slide rule for his final landing calculations.

Yeah people did lots of crazy math with slide rules, they had all sorts of specialized ones for the Manhattan Project as well. Some were even cylindrical.

Here's mine, it's a Pickett Microline 120, manufactured circa 1960. I bought it for $18 but apparently it would have cost $25 back then, equivalent to about $260 today.

Here it is calculating 18 x 3.7 to get 66.6. I can't do anything with it yet that's more complicated than this sort of multiplication.

Paid for an Uber for this older woman I know to go to the hospital to see her dying husband one last time. When she arrived the husband was already dead.
That's not autistic, that's altruistic.

But very good on you lad. Sorry for the lady, but you did the best you could.
