I doubt the Reddit account is theirs. Screenshots from Madre (archived example) indicate differing screen resolutions compared to what screenshots were posted by that Reddit account (archived example). I don't see why they would go through a massive downgrade.

Hey, everyone.. you may or may not have seen already, but I was attacked by a man named Christian Herbert a day before my birthday. It’s a lot, but I want to share my story. The truth...
Firstly..... I’m 6’1 170lbs not an ounce of muscle on my body and i am a man.
So basically, he invited me over to ‘hangout’
We ‘hungout’ for a while but it just wasnt working out so i wanted to leave and I grabbed my phone to put my address in the GPS, when suddenly he took it from my hand. Obviously I was like “what are you doing?” and he was like “what are you doing?” I told him I’m putting in my GPS to go home and to give me my shit back. So then I struggled with him and finally got my phone out of his grip. I grabbed my keys and wallet and as I went to climb out the window (he had me come in through his window) he grabbed the back of my shirt and slammed me on to the floor, put his legs on my arms then started punching me in the face. I guess he was choking me at some point too cause I have choke marks all around my neck. I honesty have no idea how I managed to slip away. I know it sounds really cheesy, but it’s like god literally gave me the strength to get him off me, jump through the window, and escape to my car. I locked my doors and drove down the block to call the police. When I escaped through the window, I looked back and he terrified me by the look in his eyes when I finally was able to escape I truly believe he was trying to kill me. I went to the hospital and thankfully he was in jail then realized and were still unsure why But now kbecause of this I had a minor brain bleed and have a broken jaw and nose. I’ve been in the hospital now for 3 days and I’m still waiting to have the surgery I need.. but I don’t have insurance so they’re having a hard time finding a doctor who’s willing to do the surgery. I do plan on pressing charges to the fullest extent.
Yeah, idk.. so that’s why I had to spend my 26th birthday in a hospital. All because I trusted a meet up with a man who was obviously so insecure that he decided to nearly kill me over it. And if god, or who/whatever, didn’t give me the strength to escape I don’t think I would be alive right now.
I’m still in shock that something like this happens to people all the time. Like, you hear about people being assaulted and even killed for just being themselves and I never thought it would happen to me, but it did. Just be careful who you meet online, you really never know what could happen.I just wanna thank everyone for supporting me through this and donating and sharing my story.
