Should sticker notifications be brought back?

As funny as it is the Hitler notification shows that he doesn't understand what the notification enjoyers are arguing for. It's not about the points or the asspats, but some people seem to have been using it as a sort of bookmark system because the watched thread system doesn't fit with how they use the site.

I think it should be made optional. The score or whatever can remain hidden except for in one specific case. If anyone complains to a mod about bad stickers (honestly boggles my mind that anyone is this much of an enormous faggot) they should have their ability to give other people stickers permanently revoked, and have their sticker score permanently displayed overtop their avatar like a digital scarlet letter.

Fuck the stickers. But why stop there? Ban all the tranimes and furfags and then we can all coexist in the perfect kiwitopia.

I like the idea of having a retard alert feature. Something where if you come across @LikeRivenIRL or @Omori Boy you know at first glance that they're gay and retarded without having to read a single word. The pink triangle just doesn't cut it on that front.
Coexisting is evil. We need maximum levels of interuser hatred.

Feature request: every time someone gives you a negative sticker, send a notification that prompts you to invite them to a DM to debate the ethics of negrates. At any point, either user in the DM can click a button that will export it to a public Mass Debates thread. This will promote user engagement and foster discussion.

Id rather Null just nuke the stickers just so he can't default to this weird claim we're malding over le Reddit karma or whatever.

Null I know you hate us retards who are using the site incorrectly but it's a fucking nightmare to browse on mobile.
This navigation issue wasn't around when forums were at peak.
I don't care what the updoots are score wise but it's convenient.

Can't you just add the https://kiwifarms.st/account/reactions
Link next to the alert?

I have less than 100 post on this baby account, I'm much more of a lurker than a poster and other accounts I've had had even slower posting habits. I don't have much time or will to make posts and I already use the watch feature to keep an eye on mostly inactive threads of yesteryear that I have an interest on, and It doesn't work for me for more active threads. I just prefer to manage my limited time on the farms based on whatever info I can gather, and sometimes I prefer to gravitate towards parts of the site where I know at least some people are reading my boring-ass posts.
With my posting speed and quality the total amount of dopamine I could have gotten from this account could be bested by a pack of cigarettes or half a dozen cups of coffee, and I think that at least in my particular case saying that I'd prefer to keep notifications is fair to at least consider without kindly offering me to go to twitter and that punishing users from other's mistakes is not going to help any side on this issue.
I realize that the change is here to stay, and at the end of the day it is a mild inconvenience at worst, but I can't help to feel like a sizable part of the userbase is being lumped with actually damaging retards for what amounts to a difference on perspective about user experience. I'll adapt, I guess.

On an unrelated note, I find that bringing the lawsuit money into this is pretty stupid and petty and I'm afraid it will be brought up everytime Null does anything people don't like.
This use case is what those notifications are for. I expected most people would simply turn them off once they became more active. But instead, it seems to train people to do certain things to acquire the most notifications, which is the opposite of what you want.

This started because I received feedback from multiple users that they prefer to post in fucking retarded DM chains specifically because they don't want negative feedback on their posts. They have been discouraged from using this webforum as a forum because they do not feel safe to post as a result of these incessant notifications and looming persistent scorecard ratings. That is FUCKING STUPID.
Wait wait wait, hold up. I must be fucking hallucinating. Because there's no fucking way I just read that the Ooperator of the Kiwi Motherfucking Farms altered popular site features because some users "do not feel safe to post" for reasons wholly unrelated to privacy or anonymity?

IOW, you created a SAFE SPACE to protect their FEE FEES from Dumb stickers???

Hey, if it worked out for BoxerShorts then it'll be fine for everyone else

That's exactly what I said earlier.

I fear that this is the beginning of Ooperator's trooning-out arc. I hope I'm wrong.

Agreed. You keep your monkey pox, and Ill keep my sanity, win win.
You already seem to have lost your sanity.

>Popular site feature.
Maybe in A&H, but outside of it the gamification of it all was ignorable at best and annoying at worst.

A lot of people in this thread seem to think that Reddit became the most cancerous tumor on the Internet because of Reddit gold. It didn't. It got that way because the moderation staff yeeted anyone off the platform who wasn't a Funko-pop hoarding faggot and it became a hollowed-out echo-chamber as a result.

People using the ratings is how Reddit ended up bad excuse are the exact type of user who would probably be the later... the ones who really shit up reddit.

It's less about feelings and more about not wanting to deal with bullshit. If I made it so that your browser crashed 30% of the time you posted, you'd stop posting. It's psychological conditioning from a poorly designed system.

User safety is always a concern btw. If people didn't think I took their safety seriously they'd not post.

I'm gotten used to the change. I still get notified when people reply to me, so conversation in threads keeps on going. I don't really miss the post notifications at all. Once the whiners get used to using the site's functionality the grumbling will lessen/stop. I could give less of a shit about sticker drama.
