Should sticker notifications be brought back?

lmao, you say this and yet you completely failed to engage with my main point:

The risk being mitigated here is negligible. Stickers have been a thing for many years. How many people have killed themselves over stickers, and why haven't I heard about any of them?
The risk exists. Someone kills themselves. What the fuck does Josh do at that point?

I think some people are not understanding how this could lead to less engagement. I am not saying this in a threatening way to Null. It's not like most people will leave because of this change. I'm certainly not going to leave because of this. It's not THAT big of a deal.

But I think it will lead to less engagement accidentally. For example: usually when I make a post, I'm trying to kill time at work. I'll make some comments on a thread, then leave, never thinking about it again. Hours later, I'll come back and see my reaction notifications and then think "oh yeah, I made a comment there, guess the thread is moving" and click back to it, usually replying some more, which in turn keeps the thread active.

With the notifications gone, I'm not going to do that anymore unless someone is replying to me. I can foresee this happening to not just me, but all the other users who also use notifications as a reminder. Overtime, you'll see less comments because people aren't being reminded and they forget about the thread.

Some people will say this is being lazy. I agree. I am lazy and busy, and opt for the easiest route with the least amount of clicks. Again, I'm not going to leave KF or stop posting, just pointing out that a lot of people have attention spans the size of ants and will not put in more effort to use another feature, even if that extra effort only takes an additional 3 seconds. That's just how a lot of people are and this has always been a problem for other platforms that make subtle changes and then end up walking it back when they realize a big chunk of their user base has ADHD.

If the users start engaging in discussion, then that is a good start.
If they are too shy to talk on the forums, even after this change, then I disagree with Null's decision and I will stop bitching there.
It will be interesting to see if these said users will come out of their shell or not.

They won't. It was most likely the same group that would pick fights and lose anyway

However, trifling like a true stickerchild with a dissertation on why your personal opinions are not at all about embarrassment & dopamine
The dopamine thing is such a stupid argument lmao. Can you people name literally ANY activity that people engage in on social media platforms, forums, and imageboards, that isn't inherently dopamine generating in any way? Websites that don't give people a dopamine rush fail because they fail to capture the attention of their audience.

The entire fucking internet is powered by dopamine, what are people talking about when they pretend like it's this sin to shy away from when trying to make a website? It's such a stupid argument that you need to make a website better by removing things that keep the users engaged

consider not using KF for gay furry erp. go to a gay furry erp discord instead and yiff with the other gay furry erp enthusiasts there.
you can just tell them to kill themselves as well (for now).

tbh it's kinda hard to take you seriously when null demodded you in a true and honest diabetic rage/pms moment and you don't have the self respect to not act like a battered wife

just sayin!
Dude, I barely remember the time I was a janny. It was such a meaningless blip, basically making me a mod to solve a single tiny issue in a dead part of the forum where I was only needed as a translator. I don't feel mad about it because it really was fucking insignificant, me becoming a janny was excessive. A single DM exchange would've sufficed.

And like, this entire thread is insanely autistic and solves absolutely nothing. Null isn't gonna do shit because he already did something and everyone lost their minds to the point where they're forgetting why they're mad. It even seems like the pandemonium is getting so bad people genuinely think adding stickers is disabled.

Read through what you've posted here a week later and maybe then it'll be clear. Sperg posting is much like doing dumb shit when drunk, you only realize how dumb it was after you sober up.

I just don't understand why is it a big deal to remove sticker notifications. I mean, can't I just turn them off manualy?
What I don't understand is why is it such a big deal that they got globally turned off. They're useless, there are better ways to keep track of threads, you can still view your sticker history, and the only real harm it did is that it took away dopamine boosters from the spergs that are pissing and shitting themselves in this thread.

Considering the fact that the site is blamed for the suicides of at least 5 people, I think one retard who killed himself in response to a bunch of dislikes won't make a difference.
The fact that you think this is a valid point is autism.
