Maddox / George Ouzounian / George Schnoz - OG Internet blogger, Author of the NYT bestseller Alphabet of Manliness, Cohost of the Biggest Problem in the Universe, Filer of the Lolsuit. MADDOX BLAST!

Maddox was awesome before he started giving a fuck. When he just wrote stuff to piss people off, he was awesome. Once he started getting up his own ass and taking himself serious, he got shitty.

He should go back to his shitty office job. He wrote all his best stuff when he was Sat in a cubicle and perpetually pissed off at his Co workers

If you contribute $20 to the Patreon, you can watch Episode 18 in video form with Dick Masterson completely fucking drenched in sweat.
You actually only need to be in the $5 tier to get the video + all the bonus episodes as audio and video. One of the few patreons with decent backer rewards, no wonder he's killing it and over $10k a month now.

So has Maddox's girlfriend (who is seemingly calling the shots now) weaseled into his new podcast? Or does she have a new one coming out on the network?

He should go back to his shitty office job. He wrote all his best stuff when he was Sat in a cubicle and perpetually pissed off at his Co workers

The problem with Maddox is his rants went from being tongue-in-cheek to serious. He genuinely sees himself as some kind of philosopher. BPITU was funny when they brought in minor problems like "not enough Black Friday violence". It wasn't funny when Maddox brought in issues like militarized police. Or when he took the dumb voting so serious.

Having listened to both their responses, Maddox comes across like a thin-skinned baby with control issues.

More insight by the professional comptroller that reviewed Dick's financial documents for TBPITU, and believe it or not it will actually lower your opinion of Maddox even further!

When he started the best debate, he highjacked all of the former subscribers and itunes reviews from Biggest Problem, then sold ads to sponsors USING those download/subscriber stats (again, that belonged to a different show).

He sold ads based on a false premise that the subscribers from Biggest Problem would 1) carry over to Best Debate and 2) would support his sponsors in the same way.

I'm making the case that this is all a confidence game against his sponsors and that they will see much lower ROI for their ads on best debate versus biggest problem.

I've known about him hijacking the feeds for a while for the bump in viewership, but it never quite hit me the effect it had on his sponsorship opportunities. I'm willing to bet there's some sort of law against this sort of bait and switch on the books somewhere.

I listened to episode 18 of Dick's show and it made me a rage too. All of Dick and Sean's anecdotes of Maddox's pettiness in editing the old podcast are just astounding. Cutting out some of Dick's cogent and well-constructed arguments to make Maddox look smarter, cutting out a Titanic segment from Sean that genuinely angered and offended Maddox. All that thin skinned vindictiveness was evidently around well before the big breakup; just goes to show how irredeemable Maddox is, you have to reach so far back to find a point where he treated Dick fairly. And that's not even getting into all the hypocrisy of the rape/embezzlement lies Maddox wove in order to sic the SJW lynch mob on Dick's professional and private life. It's such horseshit- Dick doesn't deserve any of it, but he's handling it like a champ. It makes me so glad that at least he's blowing Maddox way out of the water in terms of fan support and revenue. Maddox's LA comedy mafia can go fuck itself- and Maddox's podcast too, though at least Sean is making some bank from it.

Maddox editing Dick to make himself look better is especially rich considering just a couple years ago Maddox raged when his remarks on "Bullshit!" were edited in a similar way.
It reminds me of an article he did on Sasha Grey a while back. He admonished her for using the recognition she had doing porn to boost her acting career. It's kind of ironic when contrasting his old content with the stuff he's putting out now under the same brand.

You can't keep using your porn name and notoriety to land speaking engagements, acting gigs or signings. Want to be thought of as a legitimate actress? Fine, then don't keep calling yourself Sasha Grey. You're no longer Sasha. You're Marina Hantzis from Sacramento.

Remember when "fan of Ctrl-Alt-Del" was the worst thing you could say about George Ouzounian?

I miss such times.

Like this asshat is in any position to give career advice to someone vastly more successful than he is.
The Girlfriend Experience concludes with Sasha Grey getting fucked by a Jew through a sheet, and she's still never gonna make a movie more racist than Ooga Booga.

The thing is, even if Maddox had never declined, his edgy humor has a shelf life. His act is basically saying to the audience "I'm so fucking awesome, everyone else fucking sucks compared to me." To which his target audience (late teen/early 20s males) says "Yeah, everything DOES fucking suck! You rock, man, and I can tell you that, 'cuz I don't suck!" And then Maddox says "LOL, no, you suck too."

You can't maintain an audience forever when you hold outright contempt for them, even if you're playing a character and even if you're just putting on a show. Once the shock value wears off, people are going to tune out if you don't respect them and take them seriously. Even Howard Goddamn Stern knows this. That's all Maddox had, and this was the natural course of events. Like has been said before, I'm surprised it took this long.

Turning SJW was a neat twist, though. All it does is undermine what little notoriety this guy once had.

It was a lot easier for most to identify with him as a disgruntled cynical cubicle slave from Utah, than as a douchey LA youtube host. A lot of his appeal came from the fact he was fairly anonymous, nobody saw or heard him, and he could be almost anyone. You could almost see yourself in his position. Dealing with everyday assholes, and petty problems.

That was most of the appeal for me. Here was a guy, that was clearly annoyed with bullshit, and pretty much trapped in a shitty existence but seemed to get pleasure from just fucking with people and ranting online. I got the feeling he'd have been doing it even for no audience. He didn't give a fuck. And he'd fuck with anyone, because it wasn't like his situation could get much worse anyhow so why the hell not.

I've noticed the pattern a lot with quite a few online people and sites though. No matter how much they claim nothing is sacred, eventually something is. Then it's all downhill from there.
