Man, I remember watching this back in the day, not even knowing who Monty was, and thinking it was the coolest shit ever. Watching it again, for the first time in probably at least a decade, I couldn't even make it past the halfway mark because my own cringing was causing me physical pain.
I guess it's a reminder of the kind of content these guys were making, and for whom. Begs the question of whether people are actually nostalgic for what was being made those years ago, or if what they actually miss is simply being the target audience for it. Young, undiscerning, and easily amused enough to enjoy it at a visceral level.
Maybe people just miss the new potential coming to light, the promise of bigger and better things to come. I can relate to them all. A shame that those better things never came to pass.

Looking at the livestream, it feels a little G4ish. The whole late 90s/early oughties offices looking like a starbucks with bleached plywood and primary color kindergarten furniture hey we're living-in-a-macbook-advert , hip 'n ironic thing [and possibly the operations model from that era] is a zombie that hasn't realized it's been dead for quite a while.
I don't know enough about them to have an opinion one way or the other in terms of their policy/politics-just seems like an artifact from a different time.
