I know in the UK social services try to keep families together as much as possible, is it the same in the US? In my opinion they try too hard to keep families together and there's always stories about some kids being offed through neglect or outright murder.

I used to think that the government should never take kids away from their parents. I was very naive and women like Samantha a long with Shanny for Christ show why.


Also about the toe thing, I have a long shot suggestion. So there is a diasease called Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva or FOP for short. This is one of the rarest diseases in the world and it's the stuff of nightmares, basically what happens is your body always heals back tissue as bone, no matter what that tissue was originally if it gets damaged it heals back as bone, your body takes this and heals surprisingly often and what eventually happens is that people's bones fuse and eventually they will become unable to move. Look up the skeletons of people with diseases they look nightmarish.

The reason I bring this up is because of the earliest signs of FOP is crooked toes. I admit this isn't likely but it's something to think about

I can't see why abortion has been criminalised in a lot of the US. I get the fundie influence but surely its a drain to have even more unwanted children (and/or black and poor) in the system and more welfare.
