As I understand it, EVS is still upset that FnT/Az/Mauler is ignoring him because he called them zeroes, which was a really dumb thing to do if he wanted them to promote his stuff. But what started that in the first place? Did he just insult them out of the blue or is this one of those ironic situations where he wanted them to promote his stuff but they were not responding fast enough, just like what he did to many small comics creators? Preston poulter was one of those guys. He wanted the exposure from being on EVS's stream but EVS just keeps ignoring him until he turned detractor.

My take on Preston is slightly different. Preston did a very calculated thing at the time of major infighting within CG where he realized that there was more upside publicity in being a detractor of CG versus being another guy who got showcased once by Ethan. For a while, he turned the whole CG detractor thing into a whole empire of self-promotion and eventually a giant alliance with other people. Until it all collapsed.

My memory of the FnT/Az/Mauler fight with @FROG was that it happened gradually over time. Ethan and the Fandom Menace used each other for a while but eventually Ethan saw no more upside to it and started cutting his ties to them. Then he would become occasionally hostile or dismissive of them. I think the original source of the tension is that @FROG reached a point where it was difficult for him to deal with anyone who wasn't under his thumb like the participants in CG were.

I always love seeing the fat RINO whose anti video games, anti anime, anti manga jump into stuff like this and be like "How do you do fellow kids? It actually goes back further. AFAIK, It all really started back in the High Council days when Jeremy of G+G wanted to start taking YouTube more serious and the show more serious. EVS was adamant at the time, HES NOT A YOUTUBER. HE DOESNT TAKE IT SERIOUS. And to him, Jeremy trying to take the show more serious to garner more growth and views was lame and gay. EVS hammered that point over and over and over again. Hes a comic book artist FIRST AND FOREMOST, YouTube is just a hobby he does on the side and doesn't take serious. So after butting heads with his other co host, who wanted the show to improve in all facets, he left, got replaced, (enter Nerdrotic) the show got super successful and was the predecessor to Friday Night Tights. Which is why he gets so ass blasted mad whenever someone brings up how much views, subs, superchats, events, celebrity guest they get because to EVS, it was HIS SHOW FIRST. Just like how he views Rippa and his business. "I was the first crowdfunder and you just copied me. Just admit you crowdfunded your comic like me Eric, so i can take credit for all your success" Type shit.

Jeremy has a strong, abrasive personality, and EVS imagined that he was superior to all mere YouTubers, so EVS finally quit the High Council, partly out of resentment, partly out of boredom (because he really only cares about himself and comics, mainly his own).

But the clash between Jeremy of G+G and EVS on the High Council is what started the whole feud that is still running today.

This was the point of no return where the feud went from simmering tension to permanent battle lines. Drugs or no drugs, EVS was speaking his true thoughts. At the time, EVS's ego was riding high on initial Cyberfrog success, and thought he was unstoppable (as opposed to now when he's ridiculously late on multiple projects and facing customer backlash).
