Sweet Baby Inc. and the Steam Curator Group Conspiracy - The company that is responsible for the diarrheic video game writing.

Budgets are high due to licensing deals and tricking producers/shareholders into believing it's a return on investment. Spending a ton on making this product guarantees a higher budget on next product, especially if it breaks even.
SBI's members admitted to scaring generic AAA companies into keeping them around and with writing/window dressing not being considered a primary concern, aforementioned AAA companies feel they can cover their PR bases from journalistic criticism for that meager extortion fee.
Sadly it doesn't make a better product. Some of my favorite games were made by small teams compared to today, like Halo 2. They worked their asses off right till the moment they HAD to print the disc's, and it shows. Best story in the series and a absolute blast to play. Modern games can't really say the same barring a exception or two.

It's because it's increasingly rare that AAA games are made by actually passionate people anymore. Gaming has been big business for a while now, and now every game suffers from too many cooks in the kitchen and heightened scrutiny from suits that want to milk every single dime they can out of a game. It's not enough for a game to just sell copies- it has to sell MTX, merch, subscriptions, battle passes, sequels, spinoffs, soundtracks, etc..
You also get grifters like SBI that know how to leech money from projects without actually contributing anything of value. I guarantee you that actual game devs loathe the idea of budget going towards a bullshit consultation service, but these companies don't have to convince them, just corporate- who will spare no expense to cover their asses.
I believe now more than ever is the golden age of the indie dev purely because of how fucking miserable the AAA development scene is. I'd rather play a passion project like Balatro or Stardew Valley by with a budget of $20 over a wet fart of a game like Starfield or Suicide Squad with a budget rivaling a small country's GDP.

The amount of corporate branding on game related products is astounding any more. If you're triple A, they want to sell you toys, shirts, and microtransactions every single day. Bro, I just want to play call of duty, not unlock a battle pass I honestly have no time for.

there's a big prominent penis in heterosexual porn too. congrats on being a faggot
couldn't imagine being such a brain broken coomer i would just assume some stranger watches porn. you should try having sex with adults instead of jacking off to drawings of little kids and watching porn. it will improve your life immensely.

It seems Sweet Baby Inc. and it's 'fans' have started a targeted attack trying to take down this curator group and it's creator. Ironically, doing so under the false claims of "Targeted Harassment" among other accusations.

Hereby I offer a thread where I urge people to make use of https://archive.ph/ to document their activity to show their true intent behind their attack. As well as any prove to show this group's hypocricy in their 'stated goals' of inclusivity and diversity.

The best thing about all this BS is the reminder that gaming chuds have no new material! They're recycling the same 10 jokes from 2012! It's like, girl, get new stuff! Are you gonna tell the blue-haired joke or the daddy issue joke? PREDICTABLE! Yawn!

If anyone could help me provide further information this would be greatly appreciated.

Please do not use these posts harass people. Stooping down to their level is counterproductive to the cause and will only muddy the waters. This thread is made purely to keep an archive of the attackers, the people behind Sweet Baby Inc. 's motives and history that would show there to be reason for this group's existence.

Problem is a lot of games that are woke or have odd writing actually have good gameplay. I saw God Of War Ragnarok mentioned, and that shit was still incredibly fun even if the writing was cringey. Same with the new Spider-Man games. I just tune it out and enjoy the gameplay.
Despite the negative votes, this is partially correct, and at least worth addressing, because this is PRECISELY what the ESG wants, like in my rat poison analogy earlier
ESGs Ideal game is :

>customer sees gameplay, thinks its the coolest shit ever gameplay wise
>enthusiastically buys because gameplay, ideally BEFORE reviews tell him its woke horse shit
>sees white men treated like garbage, gay shit being promoted way too much, feminist horse shit, and general nihilistic shit like all the justice league genocided for trivial reasons
>notices and determines he got scammed after the refund period, so you might as well play more and consume more ESG poison, because "at least gameplay is good", and you know you aren't getting your money back, so sunk cost fallacy
>ideally gets brainwashed into being a fag or troon from sheer humiliation ritual, or just having your ego crushed

Its not about saying the gameplay is WORTH it, its that its very deliberately crafted poison to get us to consume it anyway. The companies WANT to humiliate you.
If anything, its proof these games are significantly worse than just bad games, they are POISON games.

Even more people just put on a podcast and swing through New York in Spider-Man and literally don't even see the woke messaging. The murals or other woke imagery you would see doesn't count because that's just literally what you'd find anywhere in New York City IRL.

I feel so stupid for giving these people my money, I'm considering abandoning games - a hobby I've loved for 35+ years - altogether! Why bother, when these people have infiltrated everywhere??
That seems to be a bit of a harsh overreaction. I think a far better solution would be to stop buying AAA slop on release day, but if you want to quit gaming entirely, you do you.

I'm a bit torn on Spider-Man 2, because the bolded part is spot-on. It's emulating modern New York, that's just how it is. Not to mention that Spider-Man is arguably the most notable street-level (or street-serving) hero, so naturally he'd interact with all types of people.

On the other hand, some of it isn't written as well as it could be. The mission with the prom date set up has a guy with the most stereotypical gay lisp you've ever heard.

The trend towards "live service" and GaaS in general is probably the biggest blight on gaming currently. Every game has to have a battle pass, or a subscription, or "seasons." I know people tend to point at woke bullshit but that's relatively inconsequential and even ignorable compared to gross over monetization that seeps into a games every aspect.
Games like Baldur's Gate 3 gets a lot of shit for being pander-y, but it's an otherwise honestly made game that was developed by passionate people with no bullshit tacked on purely to drain your wallet, and is still being frequently updated for free. Larian released a whole "definitive edition" update for D:OS 2, and I wouldn't be surprised if they twist WotC arm into letting them release one for BG3.

I agree with @Garamok's post. I would also like to add Lara Croft herself. Specifically the reboot Lara. (I know I know) Hear me out though. She goes through a TON of shit but not once is she ever "i am strang wamen character woo girl power" She evolves from a shivering scared mess in the opening minutes of the first game to apocalypse now in the final installment. Literally in the first game she reminisces on one of her first expeditions where the best advice she was told was to keep moving.

This Sweet Baby Inc is a dumpster fire of a company.

If I remember right, Miles goes to a rich tech school, and yes they do happen to have people that stereotypically gay
t. went to one back then and knew gay people.
