It might be a power thing. He clearly has this weird obsession with that. My favorite theory on it is that he fried his brain on shrooms while doing exhibitionist stuff in Jamaica. So now everything is about recreating that excitement. Whether watching someone go from uncomfortableness to enjoyment or just his own gratification, I don't know.

My theory is that Nick was never popular or liked, but he found he could get a rise out of people by being obnoxious and a tosser. He is insecure and conflating attention with popularity. It is related to power, but in a childish way. Nick has the 'power' to make people uncomfortable (something he has stated he enjoys repeatedly) and that makes up for his impotence to control anything else.

For anyone that has children, you may have experienced this when one of them (often the youngest) learns that, 'I have to go to the loo NOW!' Will result in a total shift of attention to them and mad scramble to find the nearest toilet. They either feel neglected or get a thrill from manipulating adults do what they want. The way you deal with this is to refuse to give in and prove that they will not be allowed to abuse the power. Sometimes that means letting them have the unpleasant experience of soiling themselves.

This is what Rumble (and everyone) should do with Nick. Let him stew in his own shite for a bit with the hopes he will learn that he cannot dictate terms.
