Agree, I was watching a kid show earlier with mine and I wonder what it's like for an abused child to see a loving happy family on the movie or show they watch. Heartbreaking.

You are correct that it is not a legal document; it's more a souvenir for the "baby books" - sometime they have spots to tape locks of hair and pages for specific milestones in baby's life. Sadly these kids have no such luxury of parents who care to proudly document and pass down precious moments in their kids' first few years.

Sometimes, it's a harmless random occurrence with no apparent underlying pathology, but it's also considered a "soft" sign for various fairly common genetic disorders, among them trisomy 21, Turner syndrome, and sickle cell disease. The latter diagnosis would really give Sammie some highly coveted validation for managing to produce a kid who was black enough to get sickle cell anemia.

Thank you for always coming in and giving some input on stuff, the toes on both do look very oddly angled hopefully nothing but if I was the mom I'd be concerned especially if me or the dad didnt have the same weird 4th toe.
