Yes, it's a perfectly logical position. Most sex offenders are men, but the average man you run into is unlikely to be a sex offender. On the other hand, every troon using a women's bathroom is there because he is either indifferent to women's boundaries or because he actively enjoys violating those boundaries. So statistically, the men's bathroom is probably safer than the woman's bathroom with a troon in it.

That said, I don't think women should be using men's facilities in a non-emergency, because doing so is rude. But it's understandable that many women would rather take their chances with a random non-crossdresser than with a crossdresser.

i had to go back to find the saga, but in september (can't remember if it was 2022 or 2023) zach had a near death experience that made him "unable to function" so he quit. the NDE was that he went kyaking without a life vest despite having no idea how to swim, and predictably almost drowned. he also freaked out about the water being muddy and doused himself with disinfectants. he genuinely did not seem to know that people assume real, mortal risk when they go into natural bodies of water. if only they had taught that in college!
