They were doing more than that, but yeah... Regardless, as more viscerally disgusting as that may be, it at least is an adult. Adult/minor ships normalizes the concept, so even if it's not going to make you vomit it's still technically more objectionable.

Why are you pretending only kids are shipping the characters? GT probably has an older fanbase at this point, it's old as shit and a more obscure part of the series.

The shit you posted looked like shit teens would make.

It's gross, but I don't see how it's more inappropriate than Roshi perving on teen Bulma. Roshi is still treated as a hero for the entire series. Comedy or not perving on a teen is treated as something goofy and quirky about him, not actual pedophilia.

Plus Trunks and Pan have about the same age gap as the main, canon pairing in Sailor Moon.

With comedy, it depends on the delivery. The main characters in South Park are kids, but everyone laughs when Cartman gets a probe up his ass because he's a paper doll cut out, and a asshole that deserves it. With DragonBall, it's hit or miss personally with the bulma and roshi stuff. But it's still tamer than a lot of newer shit and it is a joke, even if I don't always like it.

Shipping on the other hand isn't. People jack off to that. It's creepy and inappropriate when you ship a adult and kid.

I've see too much violent insanity surrounding ship wars to treat anything related to shipping as serious business. Avoiding shit I think is gross, like adult/minor shit, is as serious as I'm willing to get with it. When you hear horror stories about people feeding each other cookies filled with needles and calling in bomb threats over shipping you get a different perspective.
