What do all the people mentioned in his tweet have in common? They are WOMEN. Mother = woman, and WOMAN ONLY. If you can't agree with that, then we are stuck using Rowling's joke definition. Her entire point is that disagreeing with the statement "you can't be a mother if you're not a woman" causes harm to women.

On the reddit gossip/blind item subs there's been comment blind items that JKR's youngest teenage daughter is very pro-trans, has trans friends, and is totally going to publicly emancipate / disown her mother as soon as she hits 18. I just googled her and that was last year.

I haven't seen anything about her or any of the other kids being trans themselves, but it's the logical next step for the theory, like Musk's son that actually did trans (to zero affect on his father). I don't think it's true, but all the theorising still just makes her sound like an avaricious sponger rather than a righteous yass queen.

Sounds like wishful thinking. She doesn't talk much about her children for a good reason, they have their own lives and especially as minors didn't need to be in the press, but unlike Elon's kids they have a stable family.

I do remember that she explicitly mentioned her children when talking about her research for The Ink Black Heart.
And one night at dinner I lightheartedly said to my two teenagers, What would you say is the most toxic fandom? And to my amazement they named a popular cartoon. And I said, You are kidding me. Because I had watched that cartoon, it’s very funny. And they said, Trust us. So, I went and looked, and I thought this is absolutely perfect for my purposes. Although the cartoon within my book is – could not be more dissimilar from the – from the cartoon that my children named to me.

Ngl I'd be proud if my mother was the TERF queen, but at least my mom hates troons as much as I do, so we can make fun of them together.
