Probably a nothingburger, but there's AWAC's and SIGINT planes all up in the same area too, in numbers beyond what you might expect for a "casual shakedown" with the relatively limited number of those airframes that are also in the US. If they were going into some sort of escalated stance, this might be what it looks like.
But its not like Russia is going to launch Nukes over NATO troops getting pasted, its only a problem/red line if those troops actually slow them down in any meaningful way. And I doubt anyone in the US command structure is stupid or suicidal enough to advise a nuclear strike based on "Guys we shouldn't have sent got killed" - If there were US servicemen there, they became expendable assets the moment they touched Ukrainian soil.

We have a literal potato in charge of our military who still thinks it's the 60s or 70s who calls out the name of dead people to look for them in the crowd. Remember how many people he got killed in a retreat from Afghanistan?

So UA was preparing to pull another publicity stunt . They wanted to invade Russia in the north. But orcs managed to detect their forces and decimate them , before they could do anything. And when they tried to do it anyway with what remained of their forces. They were quickly repelled by orcs.
