What a weird rabbit hole to go down, but here’s an article I found where they talk to the guy that won. It looks like Nintendo took care of him, that’s nice.

He's in General Chat right now. @BlueKirbo believes it's him because he brought up something Return had no way of knowing if he were someone else. I say its him too because he types the exact same way as Madre.

@Return Of Pestilence is a @Madre Muerte sock. Among many other reasons, we most recently found out that he uses light theme on the sock just like he did on his old account, adding yet another small detail to the mountain of evidence already procured.

Here's an explanation of how this image was procured:
  1. A user uploaded an attachment, in such a way that Madre would have insufficient privileges to view the image.
  2. He got the link to the image, without loading that link.
  3. He hotlinked the image in chat.
  4. Madre's browser loaded the image first, and:
    1. XenForo created an error page.
    2. The server cached that error page.
  5. Since the image was a cached error page, multiple users could load it and see that page.
  6. Look at that theme. :cryblood:
