For real though. I know there are lots of links between autism and transgenderism, but these particular nerdy subsets having so many trannies is fascinating. Like legitimately something people should be doing research on.

When meatsleep was still relevant it felt like a collective case we were all trying to crack, people actually thought meat was a killer lol. Obviously with analog horror there's a noticeable fiction, but there are arg elements as well.

That was what was great about a lot of the old Internet horror was even if sometimes it fell flat you could tell they were doing it because they were passionate about it like EveryManHybrid and MarbleHornets.
That on top of the growing "safe horror" has just led to everything feeling the same. You have your FNAF knock offs and then things like Liminal Land that are just boring. "Look at these SPOOKY pictures" like dude the horror comes from something just being a little "off" not you using a Photoshop filter on every person in the shot.

In short it was about teenage girls becoming trannies at insane rates due to peer pressure at schools. That's all there is to it. Stop tolerating their bullshit and it's gone. That's why they seethe so much about gatekeeping in our hobbies while trying to get everyone to spout "trans rights".

Wendigoon is in a precarious situation that's kind of unique to him. He, at least claims to be, one of the first to start using the term Boogaloo in reference to a revolution and was referred to as "Boogalooboi".
If he responded with upfront disgust, that would give the green light to bring up this and probably a million other things.
He's a very good content creator, and I like that he doesn't involve his personal views often compared to other youtubers.

It's not so much that there's some inherent factor to these things that attracts the genderspecial crowd more than normal people, it's that the genderspecial crowd tends to dominate the fan space around them because nobody will risk being lynched for telling them to knock off the Tumblr crap.

So what you end up with is a situation where participating in the fandom means regularly interacting with gender ideologues, because all the normal fans won't touch the fandom with a 10-foot pole.

This happened with Petscop and I was pretty bummed about it.
I thought the story (or what could be gleaned of it) was interesting and so was the guy's previous projects that were tangentially related, but the fanbases was full of weird troons and sjws so he had to walk back a ton of stuff and basically got Artists Remorse about a lot of the dark themes.
The amount of artists that just give up because of this sort of thing is depressing.
