Not as a pillow per se but that's not the point. The people fapping to miia are ones who imagine getting wrapped up in her snake-like coils and squeezed like a hugbox.
This is why God doesn't talk to us any more.

Pfft, like they actually had a say on it.they've voluntarily removed themselves from the gene pool.
A friend of mine used to stalk the My Little Waifu board and I'm still in touch with what was probably the only female member of that forum. All I can say is that there's a reason these people don't have real girlfriends, and that we should all be glad they've voluntarily removed themselves from the gene pool.
Both are equally sad because regardless of whether it's an OC or a bastardized character, one is using them to cope with the fact they are lonely and/or a virgin. Is it more sad to make up your own original character to have as your waifu, or to bastardize someone else's character into a hollow fascimile of herself as portrayed in the canon work that got you interested (I.E., willing to settle for you, among other things)?
Recolor-tier "original" character.
I think the technological challenge is not only in the cognitive department, but most of all in the mechanical. Constructing a machine which walks on two legs is surprisingly difficult, though during the last few years substantial advances have been made:
It's still a far cry from the graceful movements one would expect from anime girls, though:
Excuse me, Boston Dynamics robots are prime tier waifus.
You know what? Fuck you. You don't understand what waifuism is all about.
It's not about just having the girl get dragged out into this cruel reality. It's about being happy. The girl itself is not the only part of the equation. Sure, you may be right in that I may not even be the best person for her the way that I am now, but I am trying to improve, and I am not going to let that stand in the way of my happiness. You want something, you better fucking fight for it.
When I say "I want my waifu to be real", I don't just want the girl to be suddenly standing in front of me. I mean that I also want to be the kind of person she would love. I don't just want to see her dragged out into the cruel reality, but I want the world to be a kinder and a happier place where we could be free to grow old together.
"I want my waifu to be real" is not just a wish for some random unattainable girl with this appearance and that voice, it is a manifestation of a person's desire to want a good and happy life.
I see things differently.
There is no objectivity in what is beautiful and or attractive, however it is a fact that humans are attracted to very limited range of traits and patterns.
That means we are in a way "programmed" to recognize certain things and patterns in visual stimuli as attractive. Basically there is an archetype in our minds and the more what we see is similar to that archetype the more we find it attractive, the more it is dissimilar the less we find it attractive.
However that archetype cannot be too defined. If it was we'd be attracted to a very specific and detailed image only and the chances for us to find a real persons attractive would be small. That's why the archetype in our mind is very stylized and undefined.
But this also means that 2D images are the closest thing to the archetype. It is only natural that we find them attractive and even more attractive than 3D which have a lot of details, noise, that are not part of the archetype.
Do you have doubts? Then think about make-up and you'll realize that what women do is basically to paint their faces so to reduce as much as possible the noise in their appearance.
As an actual Platonist I consider it the logical conclusion of being devoted to higher ideal forms over imperfect material reality, and because of this unironically consider anime to be one of humanity's highest aesthetic achievements for depicting a higher idealized "2D" humanity to surpass our own and for us to turn our devotions to. Waifuism is the devotion to the higher and immaculate at its purest, for unlike previous exalted objects of devotion like the Virgin Mary it doesn't bother pretending and in fact completely rejects any connection tying it in the slightest to material existence and historical "reality."
>wahhhhh otaku are just escaping reality because they can't handle strong 3D womyn
This is the same bullshit behind every anti-otaku bitching about how they don't understand and are arfaid of and disgusted by 2D waifuism, but with fancy anthropological words behind it.
It is a strange fallacy
Reality isn't inherently a good thing, I always feel people try and ruin the lives of individuals because they have a remorse that can only be sated by by ruining other people's lives and denying them their fun.
You can escape reality by putting your head through a noose.
It's that time of year again...
