Trying to be principled against the unprincipled is often an exercise in futility. In a situation like this optics will probably only matter for convincing independent third parties but at the same time a statement like this will definitely give partisan gaming consultants and their defenders a point to latch onto.

Kabrutus obviously has genuinely good intentions about any alleged "harassment" that may come from the "supporters" but as other users said, no point holding onto your principles against your unprincipled enemies.

For example with the Stonetoss situation, when has the progressive side did like Kabrutus and apologized for harassment that may come from the Anti-Stonetossers? The opposite: Stonetoss is a bad guy therefore we don't need to apologize for public threats of violence against him. Stonetoss is a bad guy therefore doxxing is a good thing even though in every other situation (e.g. when they are the targets of doxxing) they would be against doxxing.

Even when leftist hbomberguy targets queers on his own side to the point of alleged suicide (almost clearly a cause and effect), they barely take any responsibility for it even though they blame Kiwi Farms for that Chloe Troon suicide even though KF barely anything or nothing to do with it.

Yeah, but there's only so much a warning can teach. Most people need to experience the burn to properly learn the lesson. I think if that little emotional brawl about harassement is the worst misstep he did thus far, he's doing alright. And he's got plenty of great people around him. Besides, I think he already mostly served his purpose for ignition. I don't think the curator group itself is in any trouble for the time being. And it's doubly infuriating because these are the easiest enemies ever to take down. It's a dead horse, but no names were called. No death threats were made. All it took for these guys to lose their fucking shit was one guy making a list of all of the games they (further) tainted with their progtard bullshit so that gamers could avoid buying them.
