The University of Washington’s site has an Empty Subscriber Calculator for YouTube accounts.

Disclosure: This was posted over on the Gossip Bakery and ran for a few Mommy YouTube Vloggers and that’s how I learned about it.

Here is the link: https://courses.cs.washington.edu/courses/cse154/cp/18au/cp3/thebe/index.html

How much does a Youtuber's subscriber count matter? It seems like many "popular" youtubers have exceptionally high sub counts while simultaneously racking up very low video views. This site assesses information directly from Youtube's data API to determine what percentage of their sub count is "dead." Enter a username to begin.

I took the liberty of running Jack’s main channel through it, and the results are exactly what you’d expect.

I didn’t do any of his other channels, because he has about 15 useless ones, but if someone with more time and energy wants to, feel free.

I’d be curious to see how they come up with these metrics because it seems fairly accurate.

Edit: is it a scraper that just does some quick math? Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before? Seems like a missed opportunity for Social Blade.

The math they're doing appears to be:
Average video views / Total subscriber count * 100
= 13.5% sub-to-view ratio

I went back for a quick scroll, that average views per video must be skewed by some old data because i had to go all the way back to the keto chocolate pound cake to find a video that got 20k views, the last time he got over "average" was the stroke update 11 months ago when he hadn't left hospital yet - a median figure would be nice and I imagine based on scrolling through the bit I did, it'd be closer to like 10k.

Actually I think it's pretty far off. Using the average view count for videos over a 10+ year timespan is dubious. For example, if Jack made another 100 videos that not a single person ever watched (which would be about a year at his current upload schedule) this site would still give him a 12.87% active subscriber count. The last 2 months he's posted 21 videos which averaged 7,738 views per video, only 10% of what the site calculated, which comes out to a whopping 1.47% active subscriber base.

You also need to throw out outliers like "Poor Man's Filet Mignon" which accounts for 10% of his total views.

I’m also not convinced he hasn’t bought followers or views. Maybe not recently, but sometime in the past.

The Germans were down to drinking acorn coffee and smoking suspect cigarettes by the end of it. When they captured Allied soldiers they would raid their mess kits first to get the coffee and smokes. By the tail end of the war the Germans were starving. Even their bread had sawdust mixed into it to extend it.
I bet they still would've passed on "Church Chili" C-rations though. The Japanese wouldn't even feed that to POWs in Burma, it's too sadistic.

They may be throwing in some fudge factor to account for the fact that even "active" subscribers may not watch every single video. I'm also not sure how they count people who just dip in for a minute and then drop it. I'd still be inclined to think they're biased toward over-reporting because otherwise YouTube speds would chimp out at them.

So what your saying is jack made a great investment in buying a 24 grand freeze dryer, right?
Nah, probably somewhere around 3 grand. It's literally just a freezer with a separate vacuum pump afterall and you can see the 4 tray model he has on their website is 2400(or 3800 with the "upgraded" pump).

Regardless, it's still a fucking waste as the only things he's ever produced with it was this candy garbage, and a thanksgiving meal that was a biological waste disaster that he pretended he shipped tome some deployed soldier a couple years back. For Fatty it was indeed a prepper larp but... the reality is he was just getting scammed by every fucking MLM under the sun when he moved to TN. wtf was the water thing... kegel water or some dumbshit?

Here he visits a couple that does the MLM thing... they're selling both the stupid tower garden AND the freezedrier.

Living with the Scalfanies and the connected stress and massive amount of junk food have taken a toll on the formerly bright-eyed and thin girl.
She looks almost like a prisoner at times here.

Well sure, she clearly doesn't want to be on camera and he's practically force feeding her sugar in the video. It's fucking dumb on every level.

Playboard uses a last 30 videos average(which makes more sense because that would mean the numbers are actually relevant) and with that because the case it's 6.7k views per vdeio, or 1.3% of his subscriber base... meaning his channel is 98.7% dead. Even in their tooltip their average views for past 30 videos on similar subscriber count channels manages to be 418k.

It's also funny that even with the trolls who might be willing to pay to get his attention, out of 143 streams(may count re-started streams as separate streams) he's only made $497. Fucking kingcobrajfs has managed to rake in damn near 17k on superchats in the past few years. hell he fucking averages $200+ usually.

You can also see that his comment rate is on the high side of what playboard expects for Fatty's channel, obviously due to hatewatchers. Same for Fat on the Go https://playboard.co/en/channel/UCw0txNYH3VnFypn221OQOXQ
Very low avg video views compared to subs, low like rate, really high comment rate... but we know that's the hate watchers again. Although there's something interesting with his Fat on the Go channel, maybe it's more obvious there than the main one but I think @rubytintedchix is right. He's paid for and may even be currently paying for subs. The only time his fat on the go subs have made any significant change at all in 3 months is only concurrent with the same amount as new subs the next day?

Didn’t Jr say they eat nothing but fast food? It isn’t a surprise
I wonder how much of that "Only fast food" claim comes from Jack making cooking appear like some eldritch incomprehensible thing that will output poison beyond compare when you fuck it up. He's been gaslit his entire life into thinking that his dads cooking is 'normal'. Faced with that perception of reality, I'd be subsisting off taco bell and mcdicks too

You are right I just typed it poorly last night because I was tired it was 2,400 I’m simply retarded. Thank you for correcting that.

My joke still stands that it’s a waste of cash. I’d imagine he’s not going to even try to use it for his carnivore diet. I’m sure he could freeze dry meats if he wanted to try something different, especially if he’s not scared to spend the money.

Who has the money or space for a loud, complicated washing machine-sized freeze dryer? Hint: You can dehydrate food in a low oven. If it has convection, even better.

Those Christian-uhs love their MLMs.
