A woman I didn’t know squeezed my breasts yesterday!

I just had my first mammogram yesterday and it was actually pretty affirming.
I’ve only been on hormones for a short time, but I had a few previous attempts including 6 months on E when I was in my 20s. I’m 52 now. I still had old hardened breast tissue in there all this time. When I started HRT this time it came back to life pretty quickly, but there are still some mildly concerning solid spots that definitely aren’t part of my current breast bud. So I asked for a mammogram to make sure everything is okay.
I had heard plenty of times that getting a mammogram is uncomfortable and intrusive, but otherwise I didn’t really do much research or have specific expectations. My biggest concern was how I might be treated by the staff and tech at the VA Hospital. I’ve mostly had very positive and affirming experiences there, but every situation is different and walking into the Women’s Imaging Center while still presenting male was a bit scary.
I put the amount of time and dosages of HRT on my paperwork, and waited to be called. Pretty soon the cutest little woman came out and called me with a huge, genuine smile. She made me feel welcome and accepted immediately.
Then this dainty woman proceeded to man handle my budding little tiddies like nobody’s business! All with the gentlest, sweetest, calming voice and demeanor. I knew I’d get squashed against the machine, but I didn’t expect to have my breasts flattening literally in a vice. It totally makes sense that they would need to do that to get the best 2D images… just hadn’t thought of it before.
Afterwards I asked to see the pictures on the screen. I won't hear back from the doctor with a report until probably next week, but what I saw is that they are definitely not just flabby man boobs (an irrational fear of mine since I didn’t have moobs before HRT). I took a look at a bunch of healthy and not healthy mammogram images on my phone right after, and I'd say that mine look like perfectly healthy young breasts in an early budding stage. Btw, I’m not far from filling a 38b.
All in all, it was not something I want to do often, but the tech was super sweet and the experience was positive and affirming. Hopefully the report confirms that they are as healthy as I think they look on the images
