The reflection of Cog was in the first bit but not the second. The lid is now lined with condensation but the ceiling fan and light is still clearly visible.

It takes lamb around 20 minutes for rare and 30 minutes for medium. In the video, clearly the lamb was put in raw, and the end has the lid open with cooked lamb (looks like medium well) revealed. Clearly there was a cut.

I'm also going to do the unthinkable and defend her cooking. It looks fine. Curries don't need presentation, they are usually presented in trays like this with some condiments and dosa/appam.

Which type of stone? If they it is porous, you run into the same problem as wood to sterilize it. I don´t care actually, I made a wooden one for my countertop but mostly use it for dry foods like bread, but for someone that is really anal about hygiene or works on a kitchen professionally, wooden is the worst.

Are you sure that's not just a superstition? I've seen commercial kitchen plastic cutting boards, they're all beat to shit and full of food capture surfaces created by the original high friction surface plus a million old cuts. You can see the discoloration where they've captured food that has never come out no matter how many times they're washed.

Commercial kitchens don't have the money to care. They're not going to clean the heavy thing properly and apply food-safe mineral oil on it once a fortnight. A $100 good wooden cutting board can get them 100 plastic ones from China.

Plastic chopping boards are also cheap, shit for the environment (if you care about this stuff), but it can be dumped into the dishwasher.
Plastic chopping boards are very light so they slide around a lot, in restaurant kitchens, this means easier to toss around and store so it's a plus.
Commercial kitchens are well sectioned with nice steel tops, you can transfer stuff from the oven directly to the bench. For home cooks, that's likely a bad idea. With a wooden cutting board, it's heat resistant.

Yeah they each have merits but I'll confidently say wood is better than plastic in almost all metrics for a home cook that enjoys making stuff.
I'll rank a heavy and large wooden chopping board over a good plastic one, over a small wooden one.

That plastic is more sterile than wood? I´m pretty sure. Anything that you use to exhaustion is going to be banged up but sterilizing plastic after use is way easier.

I use wood for some things purely for an aesthetic reason, being part of a counter I reformed, but see no problem in using it overall. I would not deem someone poor for choosing plastic tho, people way obsessed with food safety would go for it. There´s also the benefit on it being lighter and thinner that you can buy different ones to avoid cross contamination.

Plastic cutting boards are the standard here in the UK as many people use multiple cutting boards (raw/fresh/cooked) while cooking. Most people here would be grossed out at wiping down, flipping over, or otherwise using the same cutting board without a full clean between different types of ingredients.

We also have a country with a damp climate and high-risk of mold. It's less hygienic to use wood.

You also have to consider that most people here do not use dishwashers and the cleaning methods for the kitchen wears out wood.

Have you ever actually worked in a professional kitchen? Your takes on how a kitchen works either comes from a really shitty country with equally as shit hygiene standards, or you're talking out your ass. The reason kitchens use plastic boards here is normally because they can be colour coded to avoid cross-contamination, and because plastic lasts a lot longer than wood under most conditions.

Wood is objectively almost worse in every metric.
