Sweet Baby Inc. and the Steam Curator Group Conspiracy - The company that is responsible for the diarrheic video game writing.

I'm pretty sure in the years and decades down the line that sort of fear-tactic won't be looked up as positive as people like movieblob think it will.
He's fat so he won't live to see it though. With a bit of luck, neither will Jim Sterling.
And, speaking of grifting:

This is the sidescrollers dude right? He's one of the most disgusting looking individuals I've ever seen. Dude looks like he bleeds vaseline.

Even though ESG subsidizes the ideology, bad sales raises the price Larry Fink et al must pay to do so, which is why this still matters.
The big question is, "How long will Larry Fink fund propaganda that is so off-putting that people will go out of their way to avoid it?" It's not entirely about immediate profits, it's more big picture than that. Investing money now to rewrite society seems like a good idea to these people, even if it loses a little money at first. However, propaganda only works if people see it. If you make a game that tanks and no one plays it, your propaganda also doesn't reach the people it's supposed to. At that point, maybe Larry thinks he should pivot to some other investment, and that particular pool of low interest ESG based loans will dry up.

In a way I think Larry Fink et al are the real suckers here. Suppose SBI et al both injected his politics and were good at making games, or at least didn't ruin them? His billions bought hack grifters, but surely a talented team could make a game that is both fun and has a political message?

Of course, when your ideology denies that talent/skill exist and hires for woke points, its hands are tied behind its back when it comes to actual efficacy.

Soo black and hispanic characters make Kotaku's employer feel uncomfortable, and yet she has 3 abortions a year.

This is like Big Bag Theory levels of autism.

Pay $60 a year to nominate games
That's clever. Just sell air to people. Reminds me of City Slickers (1991)

Oh, I see how it is... Libertarianism will save us! By golly, how did we not see it?
Of course! All we had to do was create an economy parallel to the one we currently use.
If only there were a way to do that...

Black Nerd was fairly okay up until the point he INSISTENTLY started calling himself a "BLERD", then I noped the fuck out REAL QUICK. I started noticing him shilling for the usual suspects in regards to the latest corpo goyslop, and it was funny for a while, until I realized that's all he was. There's another channel similar to his I used to watch, Lamar Wilson. THIS particular fat faggot is even worse (if you can believe it), because he's a full on corpo shill, and on top off, he uses the "fat funny black man" stereotype complete with speaking very, very loudly. I don't think I've ever heard him use a normal voice that wasn't excited about being a shill.

It absolutely works, when you have control of the history books. It will be memory-holed, and the narrative will be that the damn dirty Chuds were defeated through heckin' valid diversity and Democracy™️.

You hear all about MLK, the Freedom Riders, the OG Summer of Love, etc. Never about the Watts riots, the child prostitution bust that prompted the Stonewall riots, the 1968 DNC, the Days of Rage, or the Weather Underground bombings.

Liberals do not inform, persuade, or convince. They humiliate, ostracize, and silence. And like the Islamic doctrine of taqiyya, their belief that they are on the Right Side of History™️ means they have no problem with lying to get their way.
that's all part of the current cycle. just like you remember it now there's a good chance it will be included when the history books will be rewritten in the future to further the opposite side. the irony is by going out of their way to appear on the right side of history more and more, at the same time this becomes more and more relevant history.

The prototype of this stuff was the anti-drug PSAs that were inserted into entertainment back during the Clinton administration. It went something like, "You have to run a certain amount of anti-drug public service announcements as commercials, but if you make the TV show episode about the anti-drug stuff, you can use the commercial slots for profit making commercials."

https://archive.is/S13qJ

Two years ago, Congress inadvertently created an enormous financial incentive for TV programmers to push anti-drug messages in their plots — as much as $25 million in the past year and a half, with the promise of even more to come in the future. Under the sway of the office of President Clinton’s drug czar, Gen. Barry R. McCaffrey, some of America’s most popular shows — including “ER,” “Beverly Hills 90210,” “Chicago Hope,” “The Drew Carey Show” and “7th Heaven” — have filled their episodes with anti-drug pitches to cash in on a complex government advertising subsidy.

As a result of that, we got stuff like this:

Josh Whedon made an episode of Buffy that was supposed to do this, but whoever was in charge of the program said it wasn't explicit enough.

  • This plot was written with the plan to take advantage of funds from the Office of National Drug Control Policy available to shows that promoted an anti-drug message. Funding was rejected for the episode because "drugs were an issue, but... [it] was otherworldly nonsense, very abstract and not like real-life kids taking drugs. Viewers wouldn't make the link to [the ONDCP's] message."[2]

It had to be so obvious it was like a brick to the head in order to qualify.

I imagine the SBI stuff is similar. You are dealing with people making these loans who don't appreciate subtlety or weaving the themes into a story. If it doesn't take you out of immersion in the game and irritate you, it won't be explicit enough to get funding.

The logical course of action would be to support indie games and support right-wing or centrist developers whenever they appear. That probably wouldn't be as upfront in its profitability though.

If this pursuit was taken seriously in practice it would probably result in a lot of politically-related conflict and arguments when it comes to games. Some things would also get instantly dismissed because of their ideological leanings. Perhaps this would be unavoidable and just part of the experience if a group of people wanted to establish a position in the gaming industry that goes against the views of many mainstream developers and publishers.

Black Nerd
Black people referring to themselves as "black" anything would have tipped me off immediately. Most likely why Alyssa even allowed herself to be interviewed by them.
Just surround yourself with black people who refer to themselves as "black nerds." Oh, look how anti-racist she is! What a good person!

Not necessarily. Remember, most of the developers of Fallout: New Vegas were liberal left-wingers.
Ultimately, just vote with your wallet. Buy good games from good game developers, left or right.

I don't know if I'd call them liberal left-wingers as much as I'd call them classical liberals. Definitely not right-wing, but certainly less left-wing than current devs.

I wouldn't even go that far. The way people approached politics before 2015 was far more lenient and thoughtful. You saw inklings of really unhinged politics eeking their way into the zeitgeist with things like Michael Moore winning an Oscar and using the stage to blast George Bush in 2002 but for the most part, most people kept to themselves. Then, about 2015, things suddenly went from 0 to 100. Everyone went out of their minds.

I believe it cause of gamergate and how people took it too serious on both sides
A simple idea that someone evolved into radical left and alt rights
The confirmation bias just rose too the top and couldn't just go back to look at games as just fantasy simulators

Don't help that trolls kept jumping in and invading good arguments to both sides which of course the media saw trolls as a more trusted source then legit people who seen the actual sources and screenshots of the arguments

That's a nonpartisan way to look at it but 2010 well be a world away now. If the political environment of today was similar to back then there is a good chance this discussion wouldn't even be taking place. Today, the left-leaning influence in the gaming industry is clear, an agenda is being advanced for political purposes and often people who voice dissent regardless of their ideological views are ostracized and attacked. Perhaps the most egregious of companies in all of this will go bankrupt due to bad decision making but at the same time it doesn't seem like a situation will that resolve itself or get any better anytime soon in the grand scheme of things.

Megamxn would be more inclusive
Speaking of megaman and capcom, i recommend that reading a Capcom mega leak Thread we had a couple of years ago.
I can't find the link as of now, it happened around 2019/2020. Everyone acts surprised about the troons in Shit Fighters 6 while the whole document explained their plans for this shit.

Speaking of games, also go look at a game called "Pay2Win The Tricks exposed". Either play or watch a gameplay, it's an interesting experience that can be applied to the whole of this stockholm syndrome-filled industry.
"It's all business in the end." (and socio-politic agendas, look at the lies being spread about cars pollution and how much they really contribute to the pollution, it's about 0.2% of the total CO2 emissions)

There's a lot more going on in the world than GamerGate. GamerGate was just a microcosm for stuff on a wider scale. It is never ever one thing. It's several things all happening all at once.

I'm generally right-leaning but I also distrust any rhetoric that is deliberately geared to get me to hate my neighbors, no matter what party they support.
Usually all this results in is what we currently have: a bunch of disparate online bickering amounting to nothing while society's elites are allowed to resume their mechanizations.

This is correct. They refer to themselves as "consultants" but they are really nothing more than professional shitposters. It is deliberate provocation designed for maximum impact with minimal effort. Professional Harassment Group is probably the best descriptor.

As a result of that, we got stuff like this:

See but even this proves how much better writing was in the 90's. It wasn't lowest common denominator 85IQ slop, there is actual nuance in TNG, even in what amounts to an imbedded PSA. It wasn't "Drugs are baaad mmm'kay. Only losers do drugs Kenny!" It was "Drugs are fucking great, they make you feel great, every culture has drugs kid... but everything in life has a price and it's a high one." They are getting right into the heart of the matter and cutting out the black and white propaganda bullshit even in a PSA! They knew and cared for the audience, the kids that can actually sit through TNG know 'Drugs are bad 'mmmkay" so they gave them more, they made the argument from the other side and gave them the kernel of truth that was missing from the whole puzzle.

How do I make money off of this? Do i start a youtube channel where i read and scoff at tweets or would it be better to start a gofundme to fight le wokeness?
Maybe it'd be easiest to just make a GamerGate 2 crypto shitcoin and pump&dump it
Bro, I would TOTALLY fall for a GG2.0 crypto scam!
