They could also rightfully recognize that this would paint a target on their back considering how nlatantly partisan this legal hackery is
And then what?
Watching NY slit its throat financially has been really interesting. Excluding all their other rake steps: There is no coming back from seizing private property through questionable legal maneuvers. It would be insane to buy property, start a business, or make any kind of investment within the borders of the state ever again.
They think that they won't move because a core Leftist belief is that there are no knock-on effects in a complex system.
@Dracula's Spirit Animal

Of course this is going to send NY into chais. There’s a reason the Governor had to come out and promise that they weren’t going to go after anyone else.

It almost feels like she wasn’t expecting the Judge to be so retarded and side with them. But he did so now they have to deal with the fallout.
Oh wait, how did that promise go?
I think you guys are all over stating the effect this will have on the NYC real estate market.

All the elites know that this law was aimed at Trump and Trump only. It was specifically crafted and done to punish Orange Man Bad for his evil deeds. Hence why no one in the real estate sphere so much as gave out a squeak about it.

They all sit quite comfortable on their piles of money knowing as long as they grift enough funds to the right people all will be well for them as long as long as they don't rock the boat.

You think all the monied types in the state of New York would just allow something like this to happen if they hadn't received all the promises in the world that this was a "one time only thing. Just to hurt Orange Man and no one else".

Yah, I may have a bridge to sell you if your interested. Good Deal but limited time only!
There's something tickling the back of my head. I vaguely remember something about that...
Well, that’s the thing. It won’t just be a one time thing and anyone with sense knows it.

There is a reason the person running New York had to come out publicly and admit ‘one time, I promise’ because everyone was shitting their pants.

Honestly feels like they were not expecting the outcome at all. And now have to deal with it.
I swear to god, I know what it is!
They've already started doing the same thing to another company.
Oh wait. It didn't even last ten goddamned days.
Well, you see… she pinky promises that the political prosecutions stop at Trump.
She already proved to anyone watching that one promise she made wasn't worth shit. Why would any other promises matter?
She‘s already sued a beef importer for “lying” about their ability to emit net zero CO2. That promise has already been shown to be a lie. You have to be naive and/or stupid to stay in that state.
There's absolutely an exit tax inbound.

To the last bit, I think this is going to send NY real estate into a panic regardless
To add to the pain, NYC has a real issue with commercial real estate which will come to a boil next year. Combine that with migrant crisis and other retarded governing and the city is fucked and people will feel the pain. The governor or power holders who have a stake in winning reelections might pump the brakes on this nonsense if it endangers their seats but I could be wrong, TDS turns people cuckoo.

We will get as repeat exactly 50 years later. And with one of the most famous of New York's celebrities doing it.

(Incidentally this was literally fake news, Ford never said "Drop Dead" and requests that NYC do things to balance it's budget were ignored when suggested and this shit helped give us Carter)

Most of the migrants aren't Mexican citizens, they're right, but they're passing through Mexico and basically allowed to continue their migration northward. Most of them are coming from Venezuela and Central America, but there's a lot of Caribbeans and even Chinese coming through as well. Mexicans, at this point, aren't even a plurality of migrants these days.

Which means Texas is in the right to force them back into mexico and force them to deal with the consequences of their inaction, at the point of abrams cannons if necessary.

I agree. This is just everyone playing hot potato with this problem. The actual insanity is just how many people are basically traveling to Mexico or Central America to hitch a ride on the migratory trail that leads right into Texas and the Southwest. I guess I brought it up because "Mexicans are coming here!" is obfuscating the issue and, in a way, making it sound almost "better" by comparison to what's really going on: that half of the Third World is traveling to Mexico to come here. Venezuelans, Haitians, Guatemalans and other Central Americans, Chinamen, even West Africans.

I did bring up something earlier in the thread and it is related to this: I feel like it's very fucking odd that "both sides" are de-facto playing this exactly how it seems to be planned to go. They're playing point-the-finger in regards to responsibility, but both Texas and the Federal Government is literally shipping these migrants across the country. While it may be "lol get fucked blue state" or whatever, it doesn't change the fact that it's deliberate policy up and down to make sure these (mostly military-aged male) migrants end up in all of the major population centers of the country.

Bernie Moreno won the primary in Ohio to be the GOP nominee for US Senate, and should hopefully win easily against Sherrod Brown in November. He's got Vance supporting him the whole way, Trump on the ballot, and they already shot their wad with a political hitjob with an attempt to say he was on Adult Friend Finder (which was done by an ex-staffer and even the AFF owner checked to confirm it was a fake account). Brown hasn't even pretended to be moderate on things.

NGO's are breaking federal and international law to finance this.
That's justification to freeze their assets.
Should have been done under the Trump admin, which is why I'm skeptical of Trump on this.
Like I said, it seems to me to be a good-cop/bad-cop type of situation. The Federal Government is bringing in hundreds of thousands a year via CBP flights and landing them in unknown cities as well as de-facto legalizing illegal migration due to deliberate inaction from the Executive Branch. On the other hand, you have Texas and shit deporting these migrants out of their states and funneling them into...an unknown number of cities across the country. It's very strange to me and the lock-step synchronicity of the actions - regardless of rhetoric for the rubes - is concerning to me. These are mostly fighting-age young men, broke as shit and hooked up to the gravy train of the Federal purse regardless if the CBP brought them first class into the country or the Texans shoved them feet first onto a bus. They're here, they're in every city in the country, and everyone in my view anyway is focused on "Texas this" or "Biden that" but somewhat ignoring that massive fucking elephant in the room.
