EXCLUSIVE: Nickelodeon has ended its long relationship with one of its most prolific series creators, Dan Schneider.

“Following many conversations together about next directions and future opportunities, Nickelodeon and our long-time creative partner Dan Schneider/Schneider’s Bakery have agreed to not extend the current deal,” Nickelodeon said in a statement to Deadline. “Since several Schneider’s Bakery projects are wrapping up, both sides agreed that this is a natural time for Nickelodeon and Schneider’s Bakery to pursue other opportunities and projects.

“Dan and his Schneider’s Bakery team have created a string of lasting, groundbreaking hits over the years including iCarly, Drake & Josh, Victorious, Kenan & Kel and the current number-one hit show on Nickelodeon, Henry Danger, the network continued. “We thank Dan and his Schneider’s Bakery producers, executives and social media team for their immeasurable contributions to Nickelodeon, and we wish them the best in their future endeavors. And Dan and Schneider’s Bakery are proud of the work they did together with Nickelodeon and will always remain big fans of the network.”

The decision comes as Nickelodeon has opted to cancel Schneider’s latest series, Game Shakers after three seasons. I hear the network intends to move forward with a fifth season of Schneider’s remaining live-action Nick series, Henry Danger. (He also has the animated The Adventures of Kid Danger, whose future is unclear.)

“After three seasons and 63 episodes, Nickelodeon has wrapped production on its live-action series Game Shakers,” Nickelodeon said in a statement to Deadline. “We are proud of the show’s success, and our dedicated and talented cast and crew. Premieres will continue to air throughout 2018.”

Among other things, I hear there had been multiple complaints of abusive behavior against Schneider filed by members of his staff.

Schneider has been Nick’s top creator/showrunner of live-action comedy hits for the past two decades. He is credited in part with discovering such young actresses as Ariana Grande, Amanda Bynes, Jami Lynn Spears and Victoria Justice who were case as leads of his series.

But along with all his success, for years, Schneider had been under a cloud of suspicion over the treatment of some younger stars of his shows. Among the things that have raised eyebrows are his tweeted photos of the toes of his young female stars. Additionally, there have been issues with bloated budgets and long production days on Schneider’s shows.

Schneider has had well documented temper issues for years. I hear there was a flareup last week when Schneider — along with the shows cast and crew — was informed that Game Shakers, was not getting renewed for a fourth season and that another series, Kevin Kopelow and Health Seifert’s Austin & Ally, would move into its production space in the Nickelodeon-owned Burbank studios where Schneider’s series had been based exclusively for the past few years.

So if Dan wasn't a rapist at all, then explain why he still allowed all the feet shots. If he was always innocent, he would've tried to clear his name years ago, he was clearly being protected otherwise.

He was most likely still complicit to everything, there's no way he didn't know most of his colleagues were diddlers.
I don't buy it for a second. I couldn't even finish the clips where Ariana Grande was a kid and she put her toes in her mouth, or started moaning while eating food etc. It's uncomfortable and obviously inappropriate. Dan is a grade A degenerate. Maybe he's "smart" enough to not go as far as actually raping someone, but the shit he directed was still fucked up and not something a non-predator would ever film. And even if you could ignore all that fetish content, like you said, he at minimum knew there were rapists among him.

So Dan did have a response video. I think this is the best attempt one could make at trying to fight back against a cancellation.
Do I believe Dan's side of the story, that the more seemingly adult content was just stuff kids like? No, I think Dan definitely put in as much as he could get away with and laughed they let him do that. Do I think Dan is a creep who basically had Ariana Grande worship her own feet for his deviant pleasure? Yes.

But I do believe Dan that much of what he's been accused of or speculated isn't true. Concerning Brian Peck yeah you can argue that Dan should have known he was a pedo, but remember they were making a tv show there's a lot of people on the crew. I don't think it was Dan's responsibility to watch over everyone. Dan also makes a great point why the hell was Brian Peck hired by the Disney Channel after his stint in jail?

Remember how it used to be a thing in the 90's that the "uncool" parents disliked all the farts, feet, and all other gross-out humor that was super popular at the time? I think that was even a theme in a lot of the ads they ran.

I'm kinda starting to think the parents that objected just knew in the back of their minds that something was wrong with what was on the screen.
Right?? Late, but does anybody remember the 80s/90s Nickelodeon show "You Can't Do That on Television"? Any time one of the kids said "I don't know," slime would pour all over them from off-screen. And anyone who said "water" would get soaked. It was always played like they were caught off guard and humiliated.
I know, not everything is a weird sex thing. But when you're setting up your job so I that you'll be dousing clothed children with water day after day or repeatedly covering kids in slime and filming it, it's fucking weird.

That's the only thing he can really say to defend himself, and to a point, I agree. He's not omnipotent, and if all the heinous shit happened behind the scenes, and was kept between actor and abuser (until it was eventually brought up to the police, of course), then yeah, that's really it. And as long as no actor or insider comes out and says Schneider was on it, yeah, he's "safe", but still a creep.
Dan also makes a great point why the hell was Brian Peck hired by the Disney Channel after his stint in jail?
How is that relevant? And the Mouse being as bad as Nick shouldn't really be a surprise.

When you put it like that yeah Dan is trying to push heat away from himself. It's an interesting claim he makes he says that some 40 or so Hollywood people vouched for Brian Peck asking for a lighter sentence.

Still I think many wanted Dan "Don't Fight Her She's A Biter" Schneider to be the Harvey Weinstein of Nick. I don't think he lives up to that.

And now, as I mentioned in an other thread, Brian Peck's entry is back. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Peck I presume they bring it back due to Drake Bell spilling the beans?

People have been saying Brian Peck may have diddled a young Leonardo DiCaprio on Growing Pains due to a creepy video where Leo is talking to him and Peck calls him a hunk. Does anyone have said video?

It's no proof he touched him. But you know he wanted to.

Funny thing is that was a Canadian TV show. It ran for 2 years(starting 1979) until it started being shown in the US. The first sliming was in 1979, apparently.

At least, according to this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You_Can't_Do_That_on_Television#Water,_slime_and_pies
I was born in the 80's and grew up on Nickelodeon. Never cared for You Can't Do That on Television because it just wasn't my kinda show. I found sliming funny as hell, though.

Is Brian Peck related to Josh? It might just be Josh got molested as well, but Hollywood basically convinced him it’s no big deal. He’s an addict and Jewish so it might just be he’s sink’s like Brett Gellman.

he's emensly bitter that drake was portrayed as the cool one, his drake and josh pitch showed this.

I relish the fact that for all the retarded shade people threw at Beavis & Butt-head in its hey-day, it wound up being a far cleaner show overall with (to my knowledge) no real skeletons in its producers' closets than its low-brow toilet humor contemporaries on Nickelodeon.

His trivia box on IMDB is hilarious.

Just as an aside: it sucks that this guy is in Return of the Living Dead (one of the greatest zombie comedies ever made) but one thing I find interesting is that the guy was doing conventions in the early 00's up until around 2010 maybe 2012? The last thing he appeared on camera for was a documentary on Return of the Living Dead:

Documentaries like this are usually filmed piecemeal so they probably filmed him in isolation around 2010.

It's really interesting how no one paid attention to his pedo status because at horror conventions there's always quite a few kids who look around and get autographs.

Isn’t Josh the one with an actual working actor career though? He did play a small role in Oppenheimer. Where Drake has a rap sheet and is going to be known as the poor kid who got fondled by the Pickle Boy.
