According to Etsy, anything that has any involvement from the seller in its creation is "handmade". That means just feeding a prompt into an AI art generator makes it "handmade", as is slapping some text onto some clipart. Not that Etsy cares anyway, it's plagued with counterfeits, Aliexpress/Temu resellers, pirated content, etc. and they don't seem to do anything about it.
Even the description is half-assed and generic. If he wants to sell overpriced kitsch he needs to use the J. Peterman approach:

Oh I know, my point is more that its clearly been fed advertising over home cooking to adapt to that. Jack literally cannot replicate his own food with these systems.
It's not that the AI was trained on advertising, so much as that it was trained on stock photography, which uses the same strategies as advertisers (and advertisers often use stock photography). Stock photography comes nicely tagged (so that the AI can learn what it is) and they could get a cheap license that gave them access to tons of images (or even just crawl the free samples, although that runs the risk of having the AI learn the watermark).
