Most autistic thing you've purchased lately - c'mon feel the cringe

Gotta go fast

I found a copy of The Urantia Book at a thrift store. "ORIGINAL PUBLISHER: URANTIA FOUNDATION" is printed on the cover, which made me smirk when I noticed it. There are two bookmarks: one is at Paper 93 and the other at Paper 131, where the prior owner wrote a hard to read note about watching the sunrise in NYC in November 2020. The blank page at the beginning also has a strange note written on it that was like a dedication addressed to himself which is dated to April 16th, 2015. Very interesting.

I didn't get them, but looking for me "crap under a quarter" searching on ebay I saw a mess of keychains of just the scoop from various backhoe type big equipment, and they're labeled like, Komatsu, Cat, etc
I can't tell the difference between them but I'm sure if you're into that it's a cool idea

I just had another 1,000 rds of 5.56 green tips show up today because I get anxious when I have less than 1k rounds for any caliber I shoot.

Except for the fact when I was putting the new ammo into ammo cans I found two old cans full of 5.56. So now I’m set for the rest of the year, at least.

Books.

Also a couple of different tiny gemstone sculptures for my shadow box. Interestingly, they look like they were actually hand carved, as opposed to being moulded out of a resin composite, or else cut in mass lots with computer controlled water jets. So that's nice.

Bought a 1950s camera for 15 bucks it sells online for 80

These were absolute steals and I’m happy to have them (yes both still work and I will use them)

So cool. Older (pre digital) cameras are really neat because so long as the inner mechanical works are in good shape and are maintained semi regularly they can last many decades easily.

Plus lenses, especially for "extinct " camera brands are usually ridiculously cheap.

Oh and they'll also show you how.... Not beginner friendly interchangeable lens cameras were until the late 1970s/early 1980s.

Same with old school mechanical typewriters.

Oh yeah absolutely, I’m a photographer so I usually collect any camera that I can get my hands on. My only issue with film is no one develops film anymore and I don’t have room and the cash to set up my own darkroom, So I can’t develop and see the photos I took. It will just sit in a canister until I can find a photo place. Also I won’t use Walgreens because they toss your negatives and give you a “CD”.

150 meters of black rubberized firehose and 10 planks of wood.

I'm building a solar water heater for the pool
Gosh thats cool I just don't want to cut into my little plot for that. mad props.

Funny enough mrs basso isn't food snob but we had a long talk about stuff and I got bagels from real jews.

Ableton 12 and Pigments. Because NOW I'll be able to get organized, focus, and give a shit about making music. Ableton 11 and every other fucking VST I own just weren't cutting it.

A hard back copy of Dungeon Crawl Classics because RPG hoarding is something I need back in my life after 30 years of going cold turkey.

At least I bought some ammo too.

Welcome back. DCC is pretty solid, although I am a MCC and XCC fan primarily. Now go buy more dice.

Fuck yes.

Thread tax - I bought a second human bone d20. I had a bargain price offered to me and I figured why not.

I’m sure it’s haunted. I’d expect it to be haunted.
