I agree I do actually think it a bit of survivorship bias because I still do run into the comical 1950s religious people where I’m at but I’m more likely to run into people who I usually enjoy and then I find out their religious. I know even pretty restrictive Muslim theocracies like Saudi Arabia have less restrictive abortion laws than states like Texas, and that like Jews in medical emergencies Muslims are religiously obligated to put the life of the mother before the fetus.

I can't trust a group people who like to stone rape victims to death for being "whores" and throw gays off buildings on having more progressive policies than radical christians. Every religion is a means to control populations, and the ones who truly believe with all their hearts are the biggest pawns in the scheme. You see it in real time with christianity where you live. Islam is no different in the places it's dominant too, I'd argue it's actually much worse considering we outlawed killing rape victims for being victims of rape. I don't believe for a second that they don't punish women who have abortions. I could see them getting pissy over removing a dead fetus from a woman to prevent sepsis.
