Know how Phil can't answer hypothetical questions? It's the same with his sense of humor, and how his brain functions in general. He's unable to deal with any level of abstraction. Its a serious intellectual problem.
I don't think it affects it that much, BG3 got that robust hundo like it always does while Like a Beggar always had terrible support.
He really is just fucking inept at jokes. Like he makes observations and goes nowhere with them. Like the two easiest paths would either be like some sort of "oh no I said that out loud!". Or, and this has long bothered me, drop the "send her off to the slave trade for profits" because that is just spelling out everything. So you could make a good bit out of him all but saying that.

1MM has been acting like a needy girlfriend because Dave has taken his daily $25 for granted for a year (or two, who knows), so he wants to make him sweat for it now. That's why he started sending in multiple tips with lengthy messages, so the pig is forced to read them and engage with them. This also allows 1MM to power trip on the pig, much like OIC likes to.
A couple of weeks ago i noticed 1mm started to lower his tip amount by one dollar each day, one day it was 25, another 24, another 23.
He's always been shit at jokes, his "dark humor" is just shouting the first thing that comes to mind on the race or gender of what hes making fun of. Woman? Yell about tits and wanting to fuck her. Asian? yell pork fried rice and chicky chang wang. Black? Talk Jive and talk about how big your dick is. Its really just boring and frustrating that theres not anything even trying to be clever. Like on one of his dynasty warrior game play trhough he was just yelling "WE ARE ASIAN" over and over again, like what even is the joke?
Its probably because Phil talking shit about 1MM'S BG3 advice, and Phil's little ego trip comments about having a job and making good money and being his own boss last week. 1MM has to remind Phil that he does have bosses, and he does work for other people.
Remember that shitty horror movie with the stupid title "The Bye-Bye Man" and how it was jokingly called "The Pee-Pee Poo-Poo Man"? I can see Phil reading/hearing that and acking it up and making a bunch of fart noises, diarrhea "jokes", and just run it all into the ground like he does with some of his "jokes".
Phil is that guy who just doesn't understand what other people find funny. You know the one. Everybody is joking, maybe adding little things to other jokes, everyone is laughing then the Phil of the group chimes in and takes a shit on the entire mood. Being funny requires understanding other people in some way. Phil doesn't even understand himself.
I bring up O&A a bit and Phil is like Jim Nortons two characters rolled into one: The zero to one hundred in one crude joke Uncle Paul and the blathering idiot that needs to always be in the conversation Chip Chipperson.
