No article yet as this just happened, but could be big. One of the largest bridges in the world according to Wikipedia.

Wonder what the total loss is going to be for the insurer. The bridge, the deaths, and anyone who can claim economic injury (the entire metro pretty much).

No one can say right now that's definitely what happened right now... But is a hacking possible? The power shut off is convenient and the Indians are an excellent scapegoat. Evidence is still coming out but I don't know how impossible this is.
Hacking is not possible on a ship like that. It’s either incompetence or if we’re going down the tin foil hat route, sabotage.

But in all seriousness though, the only realistic thing you can “hack” on these vessels are the GPS on board these vessels. Even then, can you call blacking out GPS as “hacking”?

Leave it to that anime avatar vatnigger to come up with the most braindead delusional and idiotic theories.
Iranians superhacked the ship bro! They steered it into the bridge.
They somehow knew the ship would be too tall, the cargo would allow for the hit, the countless crew members had their devices bugged so they cannot call out for help.

Throw anime avatars in gas chambers.
I know Cino, he is not a Vatinik, he is a Anglo-Australian Pro-russia guy. He was a good source on the Ukraine war and military equipment until the Israel-Palestime war started and his brain melted into paranoia and absolute obsession with Israel

I assume it had to do with bureaucracy and all, but have the people maintaining the bridge not consider an modification to the bridge after what happened in Florida?
It costs a dollar to build something.
Then in 2 years it'll be 10 to maintain and patch it.
Then 100, then 1000, then [fuck it let's do the bare minimum, that won't happen it's statistically irrelevant].

There's other competing interests as well. Do locals want to spend billions to make a bridge survive an event that has only happened maybe twice, or some new parks for their family?
You'll go with the latter, I know I would.

chinese navigation hardware isnt infrastructure

there's plenty of video of retards fucking major shit up all over the world with heavy machinery. big ships are very heavy machinery

you the west is fallen fuckers are the weirdest straw clutchingest bunch. some retard fucked up sailing the ship and it hit one of the bridge piers. the ship was way more than big enough to wreck that pier

some chink hit a bridge with a container ship in china a month ago. luckily it was a smaller ship and didn't hit a pier so only a small section collapsed
Another everything's okay making non sequiturs. Bridges collapse all the time, yes. Have you retards never heard of per capita? You're so fucking scared to admit that in few decades we'll be fuckimg third world, with third world safety as more and more jeets and spics flood into our society.
You coping faggots are almost as bad as the scum pushing for this, as you'd rather comfort yourself witha cope and lash out at the only people that are cordial with you.
TL:biggrin:R: whites murder too, why are ypu racist?

If the pilot is some Ukie, I bet he was downing vodka on the job like the average slav.
He probably saw the bridge contorting like that bus in Harry Potter and thought it'll be fine.
Eh, people aren’t wrong to say that the entire thing is companies saving Pennie’s by hiring third world retards under DEI or whatever. The actual process of avoiding risk in modern shipping is amazingly Jewish or a globalized nightmare to avoid fault manufactured by banking and insurance conglomerates.

Baltimore is basically the fusion dance of Chicago and Detroit and there will probably be stories of welders, construction crews, boat captains, and whatnot coming out of the woodwork to tell their stories about how some member of the Port Authority hired his sister-in-law or how Public works in Baltimore is one big scam.

It’s going to be interesting if people come out and say that the Dolphins weren’t installed where they should have been because a city or port official skimmed off the top. Or if the Harbor pilot was a nigger from a “get black women involved in a trade they have no interest in”.

Just a little point of interest, but didja know that if you use google and search for 'qanon watch the water' you just get bullshit about some movie that nobody watched and a bunch of articles "debunking" covid shit?
It's nothing, I just noticed it.

How common is that? Again I know nothing about shipping but is it common to have one of these bajillion dollar ships just have the electrics go off. And on. And off again. Without storm damage or heavy seas? Maybe this happens a lot and it was just the worst possible place.

I’m not sure that would work if they need to keep this as the hazmat route?

If there’s more than a few cm of water in the outside of the door the door won’t open and the window won’t roll down (even more so these days with everything electric.) keep a window break hammer in the central console. I’ve heard that in a pinch you can use the seatbelt buckle as well but I do t know how true that is. Nightmarish to think about
May be late as I'm catching up after work, but the headrests on your car seat are removable for this reason, 2 points to break the window with fairly easily.

The collapse of the west demonstrated as clearly as day, ironic cause it happened at night. How much longer will it take us today to rebuild this infrastructure as fast as it's falling? Wasn't even taking ship ramming into account before now. RIP anyone stuck blind on that bridge and not even knowing what happened as they fell into the fucking void. Awful.
Every time this cunt sees a car crash: "My God the West has fallen all hope is lost to the bunkers to the bunkers"

Hold on, why was a Singaporean ship being run by poos? Is this something that happens there or another wonderful side effect of DiversityTM?

Vessel ownership, registration, and management is one of the most convoluted fucking things in the universe. A ship might be 'owned' by a Greek...who has a shadow shell company running out of a bathroom-sized office with a mailbox in Liberia...who has registered and flagged the ship to Panama...who has hired a ship management company out of Hong Kong...who has hired the actual crew for the ship out of India.

If you're thinking this seems like a great way to hide money trails and accountability if things go tits up, you'd be right.

At least the crew wasn't Flips. Those guys would've somehow managed to knock down the bridge, every building along the waterfront, and sink the ship in the worst possible place to block the port entrance. Even Poos are a hundred times better than them at handling a ship.
