Furry Fandom and Drama General

Let me get this straight. We have close to nothing happening for months, then as soon as Null goes on a minimum get week hiatus:
-Call center scammers collapse the Baltimore bridge
-Steven Crowder starts a lawsuit with his ex gay lover
-The blue haired streamer Ninja gets skin cancer
-Hassan starts suicide baiting
-Geno Samuel finishes the Chris Chan documentary
-A mostly naked Nick Rekeita licks a man’s face live on stream
-The FBI raids Diddy’s home
-And we have a piss fight over whether or not an animal penis dildo coming is infringing on the copyright of another animal penis dildo company

It’s like the world waited for him to be absent and miss all of this

“Copyright infringing animal penis” is probably a sentence I never thought I would type, but here we are

Objection your honour! A dragon is a fantasy creature, we don't know what their penis might look like!

This is the kind of shit that should be televised/livestreamed.
Reading that made me wonder if they would force some horrifying animal dildo version of the pepsi challenge on the jury

That said I have to wonder how many companies are even making animal dildos that there are enough designs that its even possible for someone to attempt to infringe on a design for one

Whoever ends up on that jury must have been a guard in a death camp or something in a past life to earn a place on that jury of the damned

So. is there a precedent to copyright an animal body part ? Can you own the "concept" of horse cock ? Where can i apply for it then fucking sue Vaush for every last cent he got?

Actually, kind of.

I’ll have to look up the exact situation to cite it for you, but I know that for human dildo’s, the exact shape, even if modeled after a real human, is protected by copyright, this is especially the case with fleshlights and the various porn stars that sell fleshlights modeled after their own vaginas. They all come from molds and those molds are unique to each company.
You can’t copyright the concept of a horse cock, but you *can* copyright a specific horse cock. And if deep diving into the horrors that was the Washington horse fucker community around the time I first learned of Mr. Hands taught me anything, it’s that horse fuckers are really particular about the shape and size of a horse’s cock(which is why they favored the horse that killed Hands).

BUT now Bad Dragon will have to subject the jury various cocks to prove that their cock is unique, which is a horror I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. Part of me wonders if this entire lawsuit is just there to get away with showing animal dicks to people who are legally held hostage and forced to look at them

For all the above? Well, for me personally no because my last posts weren't anything I hadn't said before for months. For the two that caught week long bans, check out the Lidl_Drip Hate Thread in Mass Debates. For BBL, well, I have some theories, but I'm not sure of any of them, so don't want to say exactly.

but what the hell is this is everyone at bad dragon.inc a bunch of shameless degenerates or what?
I'll keep it short and pithy, reduced to terms even you can understand. Both companies have to be pulling serious volume to justify the costs of this lawsuit. I'm honestly a bit surprised and dismayed by that.

It seems more like a ploy for Bad Dragon to monopolize on the fantasy dildo market via legally shutting down any competition.
This is probably what their goal is. I have never heard of "SinSaint" before and looking at their online store they don't appear to sell anything noteworthy so I have no idea why they are on BD's radar. None of the compare/contrast examples suggest a theft of design, just products that appear similar in a superficial manner because dildos based on canine creatres are going to have a knot. That just comes with the territory.

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned something like "hasn't BD been in hot water over stealing designs" and the answer is yes. This old website that is unfortunately aging into obsolescence has some scattered documentation of alleged design thievery. It has not been updated in nearly a decade, though. As far as I can tell there isn't another website out there like this one that attempts to catalog all of their misdeeds.

I suspect BD is going to try and sweat SinSaint out because I doubt SinSaint has the coffers to deal with a protracted legal battle the way BD can. BD's parent company Bad Dragon Enterprises / Dragonfruit Ventures owns a lot of shit. Most of it is obvious stuff from within the furry fandom like the aforementioned e621, F-List, and Furry Network (which was created because they made an unsuccessful attempt to buy FurAffinity at one point). There's also fringe things like Input Output Flood (i/o Flood), a private server/VPN company based in Phoenix, AZ. Varka has his hands all over this company however if you look at the site's About and Staff pages he is suspiciously absent. He's also conveniently not listed as the company's founder.

Back in 2013 or so they also ran Dragonfruit (Archive link), a company that aimed to serve a very specific type of artist: those who had been run off of or denied service on more conventional platforms because of the nature of their work. This is made clear by their mantra "Tired of other print shops telling you no? If it won’t get us thrown in jail, send it to us. We'll print it." Dragonfruit initially seemed to offer web hosting space and servers but phased this out rather quickly in favor of just operating as a print house for cub/zoo/etc artists. Dragonfruit wasn't sustainable though and closed up within a couple of years of operation. The umbrella company behind Bad Dragon is still named after this business, though. Another former asset of theirs was Herpy.net (Archive unavailable), a website that boasted a massive curated gallery of porn of reptilian characters and IRL pictures of reptile anatomy. Herpy predated the existence of Bad Dragon and its gallery, which received millions of hits, was pumped full of BD ads when the company launched and successfully kickstarted the business. Herpy was shuttered some time around 2016 when its poor reputation was getting to be too much of a potential liability for Bad Dragon. By that point it had long since served its purpose.

I know there are loads more shells/businesses owned by BD. It's just been nearly a decade since I last gave a shit about all of this and I've forgotten a lot of it. But yeah, they are fucking loaded.

"Your Honor, I assure you that the dragon-dog-horse hybrid dildo is absolutely our Trademark™ and their horse-dragon-dog dildo is just a blatant copy of it. Their claim of it being more friendly for people of color is also false since ours is only rated for N1GG3R, which stands for Normal for 1 Good orGasm and 3 Rectal, that benefits everyone, not just PoC."

MOD EDIT:
Welcome to another Animal Control feature! Today's sticker is :feels:. If you just want to make a post about how much you hate furries and the fact they disgust you, as does everyone, consider just hitting the :feels: reaction for this post instead.

Who's ready for a good ole degenerate lolsuit slapfight?
(ty to the fren who brought this to my attention BTW, good find)

Bad Dragon vs. SinSaint, and some light-making of the situation has already begun:

TLDR; "N-no! You-you can't just rip off MY animal dildos because... BECAUSE YOU JUST CAN'T OKAY!?!"
I'd love to see the poor lawyers faces when they have to present rubber animal cocks to the jury who will also be looking on in horror. Truly a masterpiece.

To be fair both companies must already have their established lawyer team so this will most definetely not be their first rodeo.

Does anyone know of any good Lawtubers covering this suit? I can easily imagine the defense going for a "There's only so many ways you can mold a dog dick" argument but I want to see what an actual lawyer would say.
