Add to that the increased supply chain costs due to Covid never went back to normal when the inflation kicked into high gear. His production costs have at least doubled since I first asked him about it back then when he hand-waved it away. It's probably even more than doubled.

Not counting that the shipping charge on all of his old campaigns won't cover the cost. Frog historically charged $20 shipping for Executive boxes, including Rekt planet and Reginbow Brute. It went up significantly with Cyberfrog 3 but I think that's too little, too late.

Presumably the shipping cost included the printed box, a couple pennies worth of custom tape and a couple sheets of bubble wrap. Looking at eBay sales, few if any Honeycomb are going for less than $22 shipping and that's presuming the 3rd party seller is just keeping the same packaging they received from AllCaps.

Essentially, the $20 charged originally will all be eaten up with actual postage cost, so it no longer acts as padding for the cost of other shit like the vintage lunchboxes from the Briefcase tier of RtB, the "leather-bound" (real or fake) cover for Cool Story Bro, packing, and handling, etc. Instead the payment must come from what previously would have been "profit". Pretty safe to guess there isn't much original campaign funding left, hence the innumerable new grifts just to attempt to cover the piecemeal fulfillment of old ones.

I definitely think he over-promised with the stretch goal crap on RtB without really thinking through how much lunchboxes and other various tchotchkes were gonna add up to. His procrastination in working on RtB may in part be his way of avoiding the eventual come-to-Jesus reckoning where he finds out for sure (instead of just guessing) that there's no way he can afford to fulfill that campaign with everything he promised.

It was hardly a difficult or complicated prediction. It was fucking obvious to me.

War Campaign slipped under the radar of a lot of people because that was all weirdo comics shit. If you didn't know or care about CG, you probably didn't know about WC. Dick and Vito, assuming the role of War Campaign 2.0, will not go so unnoticed because they are well known degenerate shitheads outside of the weirdo comics sphere. Thanks to them, CG is now on more people's radar scopes, and in the worst light imaginable. FROG has badly damaged his brand with this association.

Another thing I did early on was express skepticism as to the ISOM lawsuit. Some people here thought I was nuts for doing so (July apparently being viewed as the dumbest nig that ever nogged), but I saw the whole thing as Dick and Vito astroturfing a controversy, and not an actual legal issue involving legitimate consumer confusion. Sure enough, cooler heads prevailed and the whole thing ended in a mouse fart (which is essentially a July W).

I am still waiting to see if we will get a Metokur vs. EVS war though. Jim has a stream tomorrow, so maybe he'll mention something and aggro EVS.
