What happened to the "This show was brought to you by this sponsor" messages?
A handful of anime during the golden age of fan subbing where being recorded live as they where airing on tv instead of waiting for the dvd release. Nowadays almost every show gets sent to some streamer first with the sponsor message removed since it's considered an ad, then gets ripped to nyaa or a dozen different pirate sites.

57 years of great iconic roles

I also liked Megumi Hayashibara as:

Atsuko Natsume a.k.a. "Nuku Nuku" from All-Purpose Cat Girl Nuku Nuku
Christina Mackenzie from Gundam 0080: A War in the Pocket
Achika Masaki from Tenchi Muyo in Love (one shot role, but very memorable, I'm also not a fan of how they didn't make Achika Tenchi's mother in the main Tenchi Muyo OVA continuity, this movie took place in the Tenchi Universe TV series continuity)

The mother in the OVA continuity was awful

The latest chapter of Jujutsu.

Is Gojo/Gege secretly "our guy"?

EDIT: Just a heads up. Anituber comment section going full BLM. It's like every negro is desperate for "racism" to be called out, or that Gege is "one of them".

I think there ia only one character that was explicitely anti tranny in one of another manga from the 90's, it was funny to see

Kui from her earlier work did a brief story on how accepting refugees can in the span of two generations turn into resentment.
Based! What's the title?

I'm 2 thirds into the manga and it's one of those I'm surprised to learn is made by a woman, very well rounded style like Arakawa where she can do cute, action and everything in between.
Ah yes better, girls physically touching each other and taking bath with each other in a Japanese works. They are sooooo sapphic gurls. Meanwhile, the succubus chapter has her ideal type.

And my god the comedy, Marcille's dream hunk being a captain Harlock/princely type elf is chefs kiss. Not as hilarious as Laius's crush though.
I've watched all of Fire Force and am 25 chapters into the manga. Ho fuck. This show is gud.
It was a fun ride, but temper a bit your expectations, I won't say the ending is bad, but it certainly went places I did not expect. Also, the whole "everything is fire" got stretched thin incredibly fast with how much of a pretzel it sometimes became.

I'm 26 episodes into Fairy Tail. It's why I've posted less in the last week lol. It's actually pretty good like my friend told me. The animation is very... weekly series, but it makes up for it in spirit. Esra is my waifu. Fight me.
Early Fairy Tail is fine... just don't expect that quality to last much longer. If you have any sort of aversion to "nakama power" you will end up vomiting blood.

Just read it. Seems like the same shit we've seen a bajillion chapters now of "oh, X is a badass and everyone sucks his cock!" only for Sukuna to cut them, Miguel may have gotten an extra chapter to look neat, but odds are he will be another bloody mess next chapter. So if the nigger anitubers are expecting a kang to seal the deal, good luck with that. Him going DAS RAZIST is honestly cringe though I see it more like a banter comment than an "OMFG MICROAGRESSION!"

disgusting fucking niggers
and for fuck's sake, what kind of nigger name is MIGUEL

I watched the first two episodes of Gaislugger, and I was plesantly surprised. I was expecting a mecha anime, but it's actually more like a henshin hero anime. Since the characters travel in a big spaceship and the anime was made by Ishinomori, this is probably the closest thing to a Sentai anime. I also really like how it looked; 70s anime always tends to be quite beautiful.

There were sponsor slots in the subbed versions for Gaiking 2005 and Yatterman 2008. There was also a sponsor slot in the first episode of Bravern, which was fansubbed.

Konosuba had fake romance moments before, this is just another one, right?
It's part of the narou-kei/romcom formula to only have moments of ship teases while keeping the comedy of errors going forever in circles. It pissed me off so much when Oregairu Season 3 was just a repeat of Season 2. And it's why I wish there were more shows like Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry that just had their main couple hook up early and still generate drama through romantic competition and whatever else.

I'm more tolerant of it from Konosuba, though. Mostly because I enjoy the show, but also because Megumin wasn't initially meant to be the main hookup and because we still have Darkness around constantly begging to be groped and Kazuma happy to oblige.

I'm offended Hitomi Kanzaki isn't on Maaya's collage there.

Being oldtaku is pain.
Indeed, Hitomi is still the first character I think of when I hear Maaya Sakamoto.

I completely understand the other macro not including Matsuri Sakuragi from Strawberry Marshmallow as one of Ayako Kawasumi's roles since it's a single cour slice-of-life show from going on two decades ago now, but I feel like Hitomi Kanzaki from Vision of Escaflowne not being included for Maaya Sakamoto is a major gaffe considering it was her breakout role on a fantasy show that was isekai a couple of decades before isekai was one of the major default anime settings (although, yes, I'm not forgetting other 1990s isekai like El Hazard, Fushigi Yuugi, and Magic Knight Rayearth) and a show that got shown briefly on mainstream U.S. television with the Fox Saturday morning airings in 2000 (also on YTV in Canada).

That phenomenon would explain why a lot of characters in the japanese dubs sound exactly the same with zero attempts to sound any differently between roles.

As hit or miss as English dubs are, at least some of them try to not sound the same. Though cases like Mr Rodger Smith from the Big-O having the same voice as several characters in the star wars games will never not be jarring. IIRC that VA was Admiral Aygo from SWTOR, the Tie Interceptor pilot from Empire at war, and a few other roles I can't remember.
