Yeah, I probably should've mentioned that. Dark Harvest is just a preview for Cyberfrog #3 and it actually had more backers, but made less money. CF3 on it's own lost 75% of CF2's backers and made 59% less money.

I'm surprised he hasn't run a second chance campaign to cash in off the Trashcast hype.

This is pretty much right. The Yellowflash stream with Dick and Eric July is when EVS started to turn detractor that was during the ISOM 2 campaign. Then he starts going on shitty small channels like Geek Getaway to trash Eric in October after ISOM 2 shipped. His mainline audience bought ISOM 2, his own variant cover. But most of them only started to say it sucked after his Trashcast reviews in January. Like marching orders. Some of the biggest Eric July defender retards in Comicsgate like RGE's loli artist "Toxic Manbaby" became July haters overnight. Plus when Ethan got on board the detractor bidness became the Comicsgate bidness which is why Riley, Mint Salad, Frog Tony, Katy Did etc are suddenly Comicsgaters in higher standing than the slum losers.

I think the big thing EVS doesn't get about why he is exactly like the SJWs he hated is that much like they couldn't stand his existence and it got under their skin that he was having fun off doing his own thing completely free of their influence, so it is with him and Eric July. I was making fun of Eric and the books earlier on. It's not like I changed my mind about the books sucking, but now that EVS is all in on Eric hating along with Vito there's no fucking way i'll help them out with any of that. At times people like Preston Poulter and Actual Fandom called it a cult but the craziest thing is the #CULTGANG hashtag from 2020 where the Warcampaign geniuses were calling themselves a cult. It really does have some cult like traits though like how ex-members are treated and people can't associate with them, there are propaganda videos and tight information control and monitoring of dm groups. The fact they haven't released the e-mail really makes me think the subletting is the primary issue. Malin himself seems to suggest that was at least part of it. Though, for obvious reasons, he's gonna cast this as a cancelation.

Think about it. If they had an unhinged e-mail from the con calling them Nazis and and they should all die in a fire, they would have released it in a New York minute.

Whereas if they were booted for a contractual violation, it wouldn't cause nearly as much pearl clutching. They would just look like people who can't follow written rules.

Look man, I am sorry I was not hard enough on Ethan to your liking in the past, and you resent me for that, but show me a time prior to this slap fight with July where the behavior on display was this extreme. To my mind, this is the worst cult like behavior I have seen from CG yet. The involvement of Dick and Vito (I was an early critic of them) did a lot to change my opinion too. This shit going on now has exceeded my ability to extend to Ethan any more benefit of the doubt. I even told him as much when he came back.

I try to see the best in people. Often to my detriment. As late as last year, EVS was fine with July. He treated him as a fellow comic creator, even though he wasn't under the CG umbrella. He said he would help promote July's book (and not Vito's). Then things got ugly when July started outselling Ethan. Proving this whole thing is about Ethan's ego, and Ethan's CG fiefdom, and it isn't about promoting non-woke voices in comic.

I am hardly unique in this respect. Plenty of people on the Farms were "okay" with Ethan until this.

You can either resent me for not being an early hater like other people, or appreciate the fact I now have a much better grasp on what sort of man Ethan is now due to this July mess. Your call.
