It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

I assume this is deeply unpopular and was done by some penny pincher who thought "lol we'll just get the nearby towns to do service for us"
I can't wrap my head around the fact that it was done at all. Our emergency services are all run on the state level in my country precisely to avoid this utter insanity.

Oh, a three hundred kilometre wide fire front is charging towards your town? Lol, what are you going to do, you can't afford a fire truck since you voted in Mr McCunt with zero firefighting experience, but he ran a good campaign, that's democracy for you! Aren't you proud to be an American? U.S.A! U.S.A! U.S.A!

I saw this screencap of an article (apparently from reddit?) and assumed it was a troll, so I decided to look into it out of morbid curiosity. Couldn't find the Daily Star article at first, but found this https://archive.is/wip/dL0cX

It mentions the virus and its flesh eating properties, but not which flesh is interesting. I decided to look for the Daily Star article. https://archive.is/irAUE

Turns out it's real but the title was either edited for the screencap or later changed. I'm not sure what the voracity of this "anus-eating" quality of this virus is, but interestingly longerm bidet use (which is more common in Japan) can cause issues where the healthy bacteria your anus relies on to protect your colon is stripped away. So are people with strep eating ass and infecting their sexual partners with strep which ends up able to infect them because of all the healthy bacteria being stripped away? Monkeypox 2 - Electric Boogaloo?

Another interesting tidbit, apparently on the gay hookup app Grindr' Japan has the highest ratio of bottoms than any other country. So this could also explain why these "experts" and articles are being so cagey about which flesh is being eaten.

Some Pakistani family in Germany tried to "Smollett" themselves but they failed just like Jussie Smollett.

Authored by John Cody via ReMix News,

The Pakistani family was described as “well-integrated” by the town’s left-wing mayor. Now, they are accused of burning down their own house for insurance money...

In December of last year, the story broke in Germany of a Pakistani family targeted in an arson attack by right-wing extremists on Christmas Day.

It had the makings of a perfect story for use by the left, including “Nazis” targeting an innocent foreign family on Christmas day.

The Pakistani family actually wrote the slogan “Foreigners out” twice on the walls of the burned-out house, according to the public prosecutor’s office.

Police now say it was all a lie and that the arson attack was carried out by the foreign family against their own house for insurance money.

Five family members have now been arrested, including the house owner and his brother-in-law.

The Hotel Guest Who Wouldn’t Leave
Mickey Barreto’s five-year stay cost him only $200.57. Now it might cost him his freedom.

Basically Brazilian dude who is certainly mentally ill took advantage of some old laws and tired workers to officially claim The New Yorker Hotel as his own property. Now he can go to prison for it.
There are many crazy details in the story, such as his obsession with his own genealogy, the fact that the hotel is owned by Unification Church of the United States and how he ended up not paying for his stay for 5 fucking years.
From his behavior described in the article, he could be a lolcow/skitzocow if he had an online presence.

Particularly blood boiling video of a cop recording himself laughing about giving a guy $80,000 of traffic tickets + an additional one while his father was in the hospital.

We got to give some kudos to the guest who called out The View for pushing racial division.

One Youtuber dropped a rant worth to share.

@edpewalkee

I'm 40. I grew up on the 80s and 90s when Whoopi was everywhere. I never thought of her as anything other than Whoopi Goldberg. Her race never factored into any part of my mind. Which was monumental on her part. She grew up in a time of racial division and as an adult she used her unique skills and talent to help raise a generation who would never even consider race as a mode of division. Now she's telling me I'm a privileged oppressor. While I grew up poor but still spent money renting all her movies and making her wealthier than 99.99% of all people in world. How do we not react to that?

Five-legged lamb gets new home with Mississippi woman

A Mississippi woman with numerous rescue animals welcomed an unusual new addition to her home: a five-legged lamb.

Natalie Renot, of Wiggins, said the lamb, which she named Spider-Lamb, was in rough shape and had maggots in his stomach when she rescued him from a farm and took him to the Fur Babies Veterinary Hospital.

Veterinarians said Spider-Lamb needs hernia surgery, but already is improving.

"He definitely has some abnormalities. He might not be normal compared to other lambs, but I think that he will live a normal-for-him life," veterinarian Jason Gulas told WLOX-TV.

Gulas said Spider-Lamb is still working on building strength to stand and walk.

"Spider-Lamb is definitely one of a kind for sure," Gulas said.

Renot said Spider-Lamb will have a permanent home with her, and she is raising funds to help pay for his veterinary bills.

"I am still having to force-feed him, but I did stand him up and he walked a little bit, so I call that progress," she wrote in a TikTok post.

Dog reunited with owner after escape on tarmac at N.C. airport

A dog who escaped while being loaded onto a plane in North Carolina was reunited with his owner after an extensive search.

The dog, named Moose, was not loaded onto his owner's flight from Raleigh-Durham International Airport to Seattle on Tuesday due to "a misstep in the loading process," an Alaska Airlines spokesman told WTVD-TV.

Moose spent the night at the airport and was taken for a walk Wednesday morning before he was due to be loaded onto a replacement flight to Seattle to join his owner.

"When it was time to load [him] into the crate, [Moose] pulled away, shook loose from [his] collar and ran away," an airline spokesman told WRAL-TV.

Moose led airline employees on a chase around the tarmac, and even ended up on the taxiway at one point.

The canine ended up giving his pursuers the slip and seemingly vanished.

Alaska Airlines paid for Moose's owner to fly back to the airport Wednesday to join the search.

Airport officials said the saga had a tail-wagging ending Thursday morning when a search party consisting of airport workers, firefighters and law enforcement officers located Moose and reunited him with his owner.

Moose "is safe and sound and had a good breakfast courtesy of an RDU K9 officer," an airport spokesman said.
