How would hiding the words in someone's posts help anyone who wasn't some kind of loser?

There's no point in the ignore function because if someone isn't disruptive then you can just get a grip and stop seething over internet strangers' opinions, and if they are disruptive they usually are because they're like an Android Raptor where most of the problem is people keep engaging her which ignoring that user won't change.
