I don't know how to describe it. sort of like dying but like, not the high frequency, sickly sweet smell, like a low down, poison sort of waft.

Fake STI/Weird Grindr experience

I had a very strange Grindr experience the other day.

I hooked up with a guy at his house, and only after we finished and I had left, he texted me almost immediately saying “you definitely have something”. I asked what he meant, and he said that I had supposedly left green stains on his bed (from discharge) and that I had an odor so foul that he had to open a window to air out the room.

Here’s the thing — I haven’t noticed any of the symptoms he claims I have, nor has anyone else. I don’t have green discharge. There’s no abnormal smell. I asked someone who I had been with recently if they noticed anything off about my body/genitals/smell (and I haven’t slept with anyone in between this person and the Grindr person), and they said not at all.

Has anyone ever been with someone who had a “thing” for scaring other people about STIs? I have none of the problems that the guy claimed I have — didn’t have them before I hooked up with him, haven’t noticed them after. I’m not sure if he’s just trying to scare me or what.

I understand retconning fictional characters, but retconning your life is just fucking bizarre. It's like me retconning my life by claiming being born in 1978, and then using AI to make my childhood photos seem like they were taken in the 1980s.

It's not a cure, but basic neurological adaptation means that the same amount of external stimulus triggers a diminished response over time. Sometimes the adaptation time is near immediate, sometimes it takes plenty of time. This is very obvious when compared to something like the pressure of your clothes against your body, but it basically works the same way in more complex systems.
