Chantal is simple. She does things for just a few reasons:
Defiance. She is compelled to defy people and do what she shouldn’t-from being a grown woman farting, to buying only one plane seat, to eating like a hippo, shitting in the streets, grape diets to cure cysts, ignore a doctor, marry a stranger, practice a strict religion, on and on. At some point, somebody tells her what to do, and she refuses.
Attention. She doesn’t do things for money, she does things for attention. Money is only useful in that it enables her to purchase desired attention but she otherwise doesn’t care. She has no hobbies, doesn’t care about her living space, car, clothes, etc. Money is only to buy people’s attention. A few people here were under the impression she wouldn’t come back online because there not much money in it. Not true, as long as Chinny has people watching, she’ll be online. (She doesn’t like feeder attention, it grossed her out when it happened. She wants to be accepted by men she perceives as normal, and to be the head cheerleader.)
Food. It’s her addiction, her soulmate, her one true love, her protector and object of desire. She’ll die for food and she’ll never climb out of that mindset.
So, my speculation on why she’s back: I do think she was probably denied a visa, but she was coming back anyway and I think this gave her an excuse. Whatever Salah wanted to do to fix it (Thailand?) was a not happening. With him, she couldn’t stream as much as she wanted, she was supposed to fast but didn’t, there are rules to follow.) Salah was giving her less attention and she missed streaming all day. She’s defiant, she’s done with marriage, her attention is now on Beezers rather than a man who has rules, and now she can eat every penny she gets without having to “cook” for Shitlah or have him tell her to stop the ordering. She won’t admit t because if won’t provide the kind of admiring attention she needs.
If you want answers about why Chantal does anything, there is your answer: food, defiance, and attention. The many lies she tells and twists are to serve those three things.
