The name is associated with paganism because Bede mentioned the pagan deity Eoster in his writings; but scholars think he was just confused, because nobody else mentions Eoster. Easter is a shortened version of “the Eosturmonath celebration.” However, that doesn’t matter because Easter is just Passover (or Passha). Nobody knows where Easter eggs come from, but they’re probably from people saving eggs for the end of Lent by hard boiling them, and then they got painted because that’s fun. Easter hares are from Germany, because hares come out in the spring.
