The idea of a unified group with a single interest is an invention of movie-brained boomers and lizard people tier schizos. Unelected bureaucrats creating de facto legislation(ex: the ATF) and sticking around through multiple administrations will always be a problem. In the U.S. the problem has come to a head because: A) the executive branch has accrued too much power B) said bureaucrats, whatever their motivations happen to be, act with malice towards regular Americans.

I've heard of this concept and idea expressed as "Stand alone complex" meaning when the actions of unconnected individuals create a coincidental series of events without an originating point. Basically a bunch of unaffiliated folks cause a self fulfilling prophecy that is perceived as a cohesive threat and organization that doesn't actually exist. Considering we do not have a sane commander in chief all the sharks of DC are having a feeding frenzy.

I've been saying this was their last plan of attack for a long time. They don't even suffer depopulation from the losses because they pre-emptively replenished the population ahead of time. Draft all the MAGA youth and men, send them to die, and enjoy your new slave caste system.

We all know the elites have a lot of dirty laundry in Ukraine, but maybe we grossly underestimated the extent of it. That's my best guess at the moment. Either that or they're just so far removed from reality that they don't realize the consequences of a war on this scale...or they think their ivory tower will keep them safe from it all and couldn't care less about anyone else.
