That's always been my thought. The reason why school shooters keep happening is that we glamorize it in media and since the gun issue is a partisan talking point, nobody will ever do what needs to be done and reduce it to local media coverage only.

The sympathy I did have for Byuu is greatly lessened by his attempts to extort the forum to get his thread removed. He had a dead thread which he even posted in and had positive interactions with the community, which makes me believe:

1. He was depressed (due to circumstances mentioned below)
2. He believed that he could be the test case for getting threads removed by threatening self-harm, increasing his social standing in circles that had started viewing him more negatively.
3. If Josh didn't acquiesce to his demands he would just kill himself and harm the forum in that manner,, along with making himself a martyr in the eyes of the communities he wanted attention from.

I know it has been mentioned a lot throughout this thread, but I still can't wrap my head around why he was so focused on trying to harm the Farms when it seems his issues were caused by:

a. Moving to a foreign country that is notoriously hostile to outsiders,
b. Becoming increasingly isolated from the real world.
c. Putting too much stock into the online communities and valuing his own worth on what they thought of him. He even describes his own meaning here: "There's no other reason for my being but to try and emulate game consoles for people."

I have to wonder how much of his warped perception of things was influenced by the online "friends" he had.

PS: Anyone engaging with Sinseer is about as retarded as he is. He just wants attention and whenever you post referencing him he gets off on it.

Another lie by Hector Martin. No, Byuu didn't post the suicide note after Null posted the emails, the suicide note came first. You can see the suicide note documented here and only in a later post did Null post the emails. I'm also skeptical of the claims of "vicious bullying."

This thread was a God damn trip. I had no idea who this person was but holy shit this was the most insane thing I read all day. But fuck 'em, the way he behaved is inexcusable.

I wrote that I wouldn't reply anymore, but to be honest, reading the entire post about his life, about how he was getting better, finding himself, is very sad and I see that people here are sad, imagine celebrating that Byuu killed himself...I think there are a lot of parallels of his life to mine in some aspects.
