The name change, the Alice in Wonderland Syndrome, the tuberculosis, suggesting docs to look into extremely rare conditions (we know he's named Cogan's syndrome, could be more), the laundry list of meds, the 700+ medical tests, the defensiveness. Jim has had a persistent need to medicalize his problems since childhood. I'm not trying to suggest that he has Munchausen's, or that he is purely a drug seeker (you don't need to go through that much trouble just to get a few opioids), it could be severe health anxiety coupled with good insurance and lazy doctoring. It makes sense he would develop anxiety if he witnessed his mother die of a terminal illness and who knows what else. He needs therapy not more tests, he's literally killing himself with all these pills.
Didn't both his parents and at least one of his cousins die fairly young? Sure the meds ain't helping, but it just could be coming from fucked genetics. I've known people from families like that. Growing up around that probably would fuel a lot of anxiety and hypochondria.

Edit: It also probably fuels his fear of passing something on to possible future children. I remember even before the cancer-aids he would mention various health issues in passing being part of the reason he wasn't posting videos.

Unless he's outright lying, I don't think one of his major claims, about cancer, could possibly be untrue. He's literally posted shit from the Mayo Clinic, one of the preeminent cancer clinics in the world. Did he somehow fool them with his claims of cancer, and somehow fake all the tests?

Jim’s stream wasn’t bad, a bit dark at points but Mersh is such an insufferable faggot that anyone covering him has a hard time making it enjoyable. For fucks same the only memorable thing Mersh has ever done is stroke out on livestream.

That being said, Jim opening up for his reasoning was heart warming and I have nothing but respect for it.
I didn't even realize he had and got all excited to find out, only to be disappointed it was all just a shitty Mersh stream, The only funny thing that cum guzzling faggot ever did was stroke out on stream. That's it, At least Ralph can be genuinely entertaining with his antics, Mersh is just a sad little piece of white trash. What a waste of precious Jimbo streams, We dont have many of these left.

Lol how do you Munchausen's yourself into getting cancer? DoctorRedPill already diagnosed Jim's cancer as being a result of poor moral character.

At least the next one (:optimistic:) will have a Patrick segment. I want to hear his best stalker child impression.

This kind of logic leads to restrictions on reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy. When you see a person born disabled do you think, "what a piece of shit his parents must be"? Do you think that a pregnant woman whose husband died for any reason should abort because she would be traumatizing the future child? What if a woman froze her husband's sperm before his death from cancer (likely genetic) and wants to have his babies? When does morality end and immorality start? People can make however many babies they want and there is nothing "wrong" or immoral about it (it is potentially moral depending on your world view). The kids will suffer, but that is all nothing compared to the privilege of life. I'd rather suffer than never exist. And let's be real, it's women who choose to have or not have kids. Ralph's exes would have had babies with the first idiot who was willing to fuck them and those men certainly would have been similarly terrible fathers. Women in Israel are literally retrieving dead IDF soldier sperm to make more babies.
Children scientifically created with sperm from corspses is one of the most abominable things I have ever heard, if that is even true. They should not exist.

Purpura isn't common, but it's not something super special and it's not really something you can fake having, it's a pretty obvious rash of blisters. Alice and Wonderland syndrome isn't particularly rare either in teenagers. I can't imagine what problems he's trying to medicalize to go through all of this shit and I can't imagine therapy helping much if there is an actual problem.

Trollcow still upset over the whole satanic pedophile thing.

Both are rare diseases. Henoch-Schönlein purpura incidence in children is 6–22 per 100,000. That is rare. Alice in Wonderland isn't even something with clear diagnostic criterion. These are illnesses that Jim said took many doctors visits to diagnose. I mention these things because it shows a pattern of medical intervention at a young age. He has taken who knows how many prescriptions in his life. Henoch-Schönlein purpura usually goes away on it's own (which is probably why the reported incidence is so rare) and I don't think a responsible physician would prescribe steroids today, but in the 1980s, when Jim had it, they definitely gave him prednisone, which obviously has horrible long term effects.

I never said he faked having anything. I specifically DISMISSED Munchausen's. You can't fake cancer or rashes or a heart attack or tuberculosis. But if you go to the doctor frequently enough due to health anxiety they will find something. The hospital puts you at risk for infection, the testing and scans aren't always risk-free, and medications can cause side-effects worse than the condition they are treating. Health anxiety/hypochondria increases your risk of death.

That was literally Jim's cancer story if anyone was paying attention. He went to the doctor complaining about symptoms that were completely unrelated to his cancer, and eventually the doctors discovered cancer. Jim's cancer is asymptomatic. The cause of most of his symptoms is really unknown. If you take that many drugs and get that many tests done it is not uncommon to develop health problems that you didn't have to start with.

Shot in the dark here, but I think I can sort of make my own stupid educated guess on what is going on with Jim. This is more of a personal antidote and when I am hearing of Jims struggle more and more. The sadder it makes it and really hits me in a personal way, but I digress. I have someone very close to me that has been diagnosed with Hoshimotos disease which led to cancer. Of course that also lead to the similar form of arthritis that Jim has developed, this person also has both forms of arthritis, and bone density in the spine is fucked. Of course luckily this person isn't at the point Jim is at were mobility was lost. Hoshimotos is is more common in women, but men also are affected, and depending on treatment window. Along with the severity with what ever other underlying problems that have manifested, Jim probably has some super advanced variant of that disorder.

His symptoms he describes essentially explains a lot of what is going on with him. Though Jim more than likely has some genetic variant of that condition that explains how it became so hyper advanced. Lymphoma can develop with that disease, which this person that I am referring to was finally diagnosed with it . Why I can make a guess that Jim probably has Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma along with Hoshimotos disease. Lymphoma in general is not very well understood genetic disorder and explains the type of cancer that he has. It is incredibly rare form of cancer as well and is a brutal form of cancer. This also explains the cardiovascular issues he has seemingly developed over the last year. Different forms of hypertension and cancers a rise generally with people with that genetic disease and honestly it isn't something that can be cured with current medicine. Explains the cocktails of medications he is on and also his visits to the pain clinic. I would never wish any form of Lymphoma on my worst enemy, it is one of the worst, and most painful ways to die imaginable. Also it drags out over years, so it isn't one of those cancers that you just drop dead from the instant you find out. Explains the chronology and advancement of his condition over the last 3 years as well.
But, that is my armchair internet doctor observation.

Did anyone look at the photo he shared containing his symptoms/diagnoses on the Mersh stream? Am phonefagging right now, if the quality is too potato I can repost a better one.

Yeah I also saw the tests he did. I dont know where the bone problems came from but very likely due to the autoimmune part of it. Usually the people Ive seen just get cancer but no autoimmune issues so this is something else. Everything else is downstream from the drop in immunity, heart problems probably were caused by anxiety and painkillers.

I dont know where the bone problems came from but very likely due to the autoimmune part of it.

One is his earliest diagnoses was lymphoma.

Vertebral compression fractures and osteoporosis are a relatively common symptom of blood cancers. Bone involvement is not surprising given that all blood cells originate in the bone marrow, and most mature there.

The cancerous blood cells also secrete cytokines and produce abnormal monoclonal Ig-whatevers that cause inflammage to the bone tissue, making it weak and brittle.

The heart attacks are likely from hyperviscosity syndrome (blood thickening) secondary to the b-cell lymphoma.

You're absolutely right that the core of this is probably some sort of mystery auto-immune problem.

I think that's part of the reason his doctors are having so much trouble giving him a definitive diagnosis that describes everything, although his problems seemed to start with B-cell lymphoma.

Jim is a medical unicorn and I hope they find a cure for whatever it is soon.
