I don't see this going well for them when it inevitably goes to SCOTUS. Also, the timing is shit for getting this passed before the election. It'll be shown in a week or two, then have 30 days comment, then get EO'd into existence, then challenged in seven courts before getting to SCOTUS. There is no way it'll be resolved before the election to actually buy what will likely be 5 million-ish people to go vote for Biden. If anything, assuming it actually passes all the hurdles, it pisses more people off that they weren't included in the group that might get their debt forgiven.

I don't think it actually has to succeed for it to be effective. It can be reported, kids will warm to him, and some will vote for him. He loses, Trump's fault; he wins, woops, its not in the budget tee hee hee. We tried! We'll try again during the midterms.

Reminder that Mitch McConnell literally floated a federal abortion ban during the midterms, but after it in 2023 he got salty and demanded a "compromise" by the Freedom Caucasus to vote yes on giving literal abortionist doctors and activists in the military free promotions before Congress.

Your average conservative "pro life" grifter would rather have Roe v Wade passed as legislation than push for the practical steps towards limiting abortion. Trump hurts their ability to fundraise for 'muh nationwide ban', which they're well aware would hand Dems Congress and give liberals the opportunity to pass the exact opposite bill. Saying this as someone who would 100% agree with Walsh's tweet if I believed it was genuine.

good legislation can and has been passing at the state level but has not been passing at a federal level. the state is the future. soft-secession should be the name of the game now.

A divide among Democrats over whether to halt defense aid to Israel is growing more fierce, causing a crisis and headache for Biden strategists ahead of the presidential election, which has only intensified in the wake of last week's Israel Defense Forces (IDF) attack on the World Central Kitchen convoy in Gaza, which left seven international workers dead, including an American.

This intensifying fragmentation of Biden's base has been on display this weekend also given former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi - still very influential among Dems - has publicly come out against Biden's policy to continue arming Israel. The letter she signed, and which was led by Reps. Mark Pocan (D-Wisc.), Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) and Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.), included the signatures of some 40 Democrats.

"In light of the recent strike against aid workers and the ever-worsening humanitarian crisis, we believe it is unjustifiable to approve these weapons transfers," the lawmakers stated in the letter addressed to President Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

"If this strike is found to have violated U.S. or international law, we urge you to continue withholding these transfers until those responsible are held accountable," the lawmakers wrote.

However, a follow-up statement from a Pelosi representative to Axios has this to say: "Speaker Pelosi knows President Biden's support for Israel and empathy with the innocent civilians in Gaza, and she respects his judgment in how to proceed."

This trend of the Gaza war becoming a bright red dividing line among Democrats is also on display with recent stories like the following from Epoch Times-- Pro-Israel Democrat Group Endorses ‘Squad’ Primary Opponents:

A Democrat pro-Israel group has endorsed candidates challenging incumbents who are members of the far-left congressional group “The Squad.”
Democratic Majority for Israel (DMFI) announced on April 3 its backing of Westchester County Executive George Latimer and St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell.
DMFI did not state its reasons for backing the two other than through announcing a slate of endorsements.

So now the 'fight' is on and it's becoming a real issue with campaign money lining up on either side. Still, those voters who put the Squad members in office in the first place are more than likely to come down on the anti-Israel side.

One such Muslim community leader and activist told Middle East Eye that Palestinian-Americans are "vehemently opposed to any Palestinian, Arab, Muslim, or any person who has an ounce of humanity" attending the event.

All of this is of course a plus for Trump's chances of retaking the White House going into November, also given the Israel-Gaza issue is much less of a divisive flashpoint issue for Republican voters.

The CIA has denied a whistleblower allegation that the agency "intervened in the investigation of Hunter biden to prevent the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) from interviewing a witness," according to a response issued to House Republicans on Friday.

According to the whistleblower, in August 2021, the IRS wanted to interview Hunter Biden associate (who loaned Hunter $6.5 million), Patrick Kevin Morris - and that "the CIA intervened to stop the interview."

"Two DOJ officials were allegedly summoned to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia for a briefing regarding Mr. Morris," at which "it was communicated that Mr. Morris could not be a witness during the investigation."

The Biden administration has issued a new rule that makes it harder to fire government employees in an apparent bid to thwart former President Donald Trump’s pledge to fire “rogue bureaucrats” and radically reshape the federal workforce.

The new rule, which bolsters job protections for career civil servants, was issued on April 4 by the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), which hinted in a statement that it’s targeting a promised move by a potential second Trump presidency to “drain the swamp and root out the deep state” by making it easier to fire government workers.

“In the first week of the Biden-Harris Administration, President Biden revoked an Executive Order issued by the previous Administration that risked altering our country’s long-standing merit-based civil service system, by creating new excepted service schedule, known as ‘Schedule F,’ and directing agencies to move potentially large swathes of career employees into this new excepted service status,” OPM said in the statement.

This is in reference to a Trump-era executive order issued in 2020 that allowed tens of thousands of the 2.2 million federal employees to be reclassified as political appointees, making it easier to fire them.

Israel's military has confirmed that for the first time it is actually pulling troops from southern Gaza instead of adding them. Specifically ground forces are being withdrawn from Khan Younis following months of intense fighting which has destroyed much of the city.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Sunday that its 98th division had "concluded its mission" there and that the division is being withdrawn from the Gaza Strip to "recuperate and prepare for future operations."


However, there's no firm indicators that the planned Raffah assault is off, amid ongoing pressure from the Biden administration not to move forward, with the IDF also saying that "a significant force led by the 162nd division and the Nahal brigade continues to operate in the Gaza strip, and will preserve the IDF’s freedom of action and its ability to conduct precise intelligence based operations."

But this withdrawal and lull was enough to see oil prices briefly decline from a five month high, also on hopes that Iran's inaction so far means a massive retaliatory attack in response to last week's Israeli attack on the Damascus embassy might not be coming.

Matt Walsh is a totally disingenuous s0ybeard faggot. Back in 2019, when a bunch of people in a Trump rally were chanting "send them back" about Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib, Matt Walsh was preening histrionically over the 'racism' that Trump supposedly brought into conservatism. Then he was defending Ahmaud Arbery the famous jogger who stole from a construction site, with bullshit claims about "exploring construction sites is just what a man does. Men explore. It's masculine to do what Ahmaud did." But then he suddenly transitioned to calling for shooting BLM protesters on the streets and that Trump was being a cuck for not doing it (DeSantis didn't do it either but Walsh plays revisionist history when it comes to DeSantis vs Trump).
