To expand a bit on what @Collections Agent said, an Austin oldfag produced a clip from the Runescape days where Austin mockingly does his " I hate my life, gonna kill myself, etc" routine and laughs about it. He's done it so much since then that it's become habit. His addiction is bad enough and brain fried enough by this point that I'm guessing there is a kernel of truth to what started of as purely a grifting technique.
